Almost two weeks went by without a word from Oliver.

I didn't really care anymore and I decided to just let it go and get on with my life. It was only one date after all.

It was sunday evening and still no word from Oliver. I was watching a movie and eating chips, as suddenly my phone bussed on the table. It was Oliver calling.

I didn't even bother to answer. He couldn't just contact me when it was convenient for him and just ghost in the meantime.
After ten missed and ignored calls I turned off my phone and went to bed.

It continued like that for a whole day. Him calling and me not bothering to answer.

As I looked at my phone, after getting off from work I had 15 missed calls and 1 text.

I was about to read the text as Felicity walked up to my desk.

"Are you done for today?" She asked leaning over the counter, with her usual sweet smile.

"Yeah. I was actually going to leave. But if..." I started but was interrupted by her.

"No, no. It can't wait until tomorrow." Felicity said with a pleasant smile, placing the papers in front of her.

"I'll do it first thing tomorrow then." I said smiling putting the papers away.

"Have a nice night." Felicity said with a smile, as she stepped away.

"You too, Felicity." I said smiling back, before I turned my attention back to my phone and read the text from Oliver.

"Hey Cas. I know I messed up. I've just been so busy with my campaign. I know that's no excuse, but I'm so sorry.
I hope I can make it up to you. I really want to see you again. Please call or text me."

I sighed confused, reading the text again.

"I'll let you try. " I finally answered before I put my phone back in my purse. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea, but he seemed like an genuine good guy, so maybe he should have a second chance.

I got up from my chair and started to gather my stuff, as the door suddenly opened making me look up.

"You're still here." A relieved sigh escaped Oliver's lips.

I just stood there and starred at him. "What are you doing here?" I stammered confused.

"I just texted you." I said after a moment of awkward silence.

"Yeah, I know." He responded slowly approaching me.

"I'm so sorry Cas. I know it looks like I'm not serious about this, but I am." He continued until he stopped in front of me. I just continued starring at him, not knowing what to say.

"You have to make up for everything." I said after a while with a smirk, making a relived smile spread across his face.

"I will. Trust me on that." He said with a smile. I nodded and smiled at him.

"Do you want to join me for a walk?" He asked almost nervously.

I just nodded with a small smile.

We ended up walking around for hours, and when it suddenly became dark we grabbed something to eat at a small diner. It was fun and I gained a little bit of my trust in him back.

"I'll call you." I said with a retained smile, after he followed me back.

"I hope so." He said before placing a soft kiss on my cheek.

I waited a few days before I called Oliver. He kept his promise and really worked for it. He called and texted multiple times a day, and we had a few really good talks, so everything was getting back to normal even though I turned his invitations down, for now.

The next morning, I had set my alarm pretty early, to go for a quick run before work.

I put my hair up in a bun and got dressed before I headed out.

After a really good run I decided to walk the rest of the way home while listening to Fireflight - Unbreakable. One of my favorite songs.

I looked at the time on my phone and saw another text from Oliver.

I couldn't help but chuckle. He was probably getting nervous, because I hadn't answered him yet.

"Good morning. Did you sleep well?
Dinner and drinks tonight?"

He had been waiting long enough, so I decided to text him back. I tried really hard not to sound too excited.

"Sure, let's do that. What time and where do we meet?" I responded.

Just as I reached my front door he texted back.

"I'll pick you up at 6. " I couldn't help but chuckle. He was always so secret about where he was taking me.

"Sounds good. See you tonight." I quickly texted back before I had to get ready for work.

Oliver really outdid himself choosing a restaurant and he tried so hard to make it all up to me.

We had a little too much wine, and had to be picked up because neither of us could drive home.

Laughing from one of Oliver's cheesy comments we stepped outside to wait for our cab.

The street was empty and quiet, as our laughter quiet down and we looked at each other.

Before I knew off it, I was pushed against the brick wall behind me, kissing Oliver.
His kiss was wild, hungry and intense while his hands where all over my body. His lips felt so amazing on mine.

He was almost out of breath as he pulled apart. He studied my facial expression, almost looking a bit worried if he crossed a line.
I smiled at him before placing a soft reassuring kiss on his lips making him smile as he gently trailed his fingers over my cheek.
