New beginnings

Interwined hands

Maggie woke up happy, ready for the day, ready to see...a certain someone.

Alex was just as excited, she never felt this way about anyone, she didn't know how to explain her feelings, but, it was just different with Maggie, even though she had only known her for one day, it felt right, it's like they were meant to meet, it felt like they had know each other for years.

When Alex arrived at school, she waited at the oval, hoping she would see Maggie before class. As she looked up from her phone she noticed a small figure in the distance, when she realised it was Maggie she ran up to her as fast as she could and latched her self onto Maggie, forming a hug.

"Whoa, Danvers, what was that for?" Maggie asked laughing, if she was being totally honest she loved the hug, she never wanted Alex to let go, she wanted to stay there, in her arms forever.

"Oh, uh nothing, I'm sorry" Alex replied a little embarrassed, she quickly pulled away. Maggie could see red forming on Alex's cheeks, Maggie thought it was cute, but as cute as she looked, Maggie didn't want Alex to feel embarrassed.

"No, you have nothing to apologise for, it was nice, thank you" Alex blushed.

"Anyway, I'm glad I saw you before class!" Alex said cheerfully. Maggie smiled, someone was actually excited to see her.

"You are?"

"Yeah, of course I am" Alex said smiling. Maggie smiled back flashing her dimples, Alex almost couldn't breath at the sight, it may have partly been from her sprinting half way across the oval, but Maggies smile definitely didn't help. Alex let out a big breath before speaking.

"So, What do you have first period?" Alex asked.

"Uh- english with Ms Flyer, I believe" Maggie replied. Alex squealed internally .

"Great! same" Alex said.

"Oh thank god" Maggie let out a small sigh. She was so glad she new someone in the class. Being only her second day it was a relief to be with someone she new, whether it was Alex, Kara, Winn, Lena, James or even Jess, she didn't care but she was definitely glad it was Alex.

As the girls entered their first class they walked straight over to the back of the room and sat their books down next to each other.

They enjoyed that class, well actually they enjoyed each other's company, The only problem was the fact they got in trouble for talking to much.

As break came Maggie and Alex walked over to the oval together. They were almost there when they were interrupted by another year 12, Maxwell Lord.

"Hello lovely ladies" he said smiling.

"What do you want Max?" Alex said rolling her eyes. Maggie didn't know who he was so she just kept quiet.

"I would like... to take you on a date" Max said looking at Alex, he grabbed her hand and kissed it softly. Alex retrieved her hand from his as quick as she could.

"And why would I go on a date with you?" Alex said disgusted. She HATED Max with a passion.
Damn, Badass Alex, I like this side of her, Maggie thought, smiling to herself.

"Ouch" Max said holding his chest pretending he was in pain. Alex just rolled her eyes.

"Listen Max, I don't have time for you, now please move out of my way".

"Make me" Max said while raising an eyebrow, he didn't expect what was coming next.

"If you say so" Alex said, Max smiled expecting a kiss, but Alex had different thoughts. She grabbed Max's arm and flipped his body behind hers leaving him on the ground, Max winced in pain "Don't 'make me' next time Max" Maggie was shocked, she also was proud, alex was not gonna take his shit. Maggie could definitely get use to this side of Alex (Badass) Danvers, Maggie thought giggling quietly to herself.
