Chapter Five

Jackson sat in his seat not being able to move as he was in deep thoughts about Kenzlyn and Bud. But was interrupted by Dr.Lang asking Lizzy if she was alright.

Lizzy cleared her throat," uh yes, Dr.Lang I'm fine," she says looking away from his gaze

Dr. Lang had spoke up so he knew Jackson could hear him
" I'll have a word with Isaac, Bud and of course Little Kenz", he said her name a bit louder

Jackson looked up at him angered that he'd use his nickname for her with that attitude and accusation of his
"They didn't do nothin," he said looking at him

Dr. Lang smirked at him,
" lookin forward to our session tomorrow, Jackson?" He sneered at him

Lizzy stood a bit was in front of Dr.Lang
"Sir, he's right, actually, Bud and Kenzlyn didn't do anything", she said hoping he'd understand

Dr,Lang cut her off," They was just fighting?" He sassed

Lizzy cleared her throat," well, they were protecting me", she said with her head high

Dr. Lang put his arms behind his back with a scoff
"Remind me to tell you later what he did to his last foster family and what Kenzlyn did to the two nurses that worked here a few years ago," he said giving Jackson a stare down

"They took his dog. And for Kenz, those nurses treated her like trash for no reason at all"? He said defending them

Dr. Lang chuckled," yes that's a prefect reason to bludgeon somebody into a coma. As for your precious little Kenz, she broke two nurses jaws, which they now have to eat through a straw", he said pointedly

Jackson looked at him with so much anger
"Yeah, well, I'm jus sayin", he said looking back down to the drawing Kenzlyn drew.
Jackson didn't like what was gonna happen especially to Kenz. She didn't deserve any of that.

After a while Jackson followed Lizzy quietly out into the main hall. He looks to see she was staring at a chart.
Standing right behind her, she suddenly turns around but gasps jumping a bit

"Sorry didn't mean to scare you," he says as he takes a step back, not wanting to be close to her

"You didn't" she softly says.

Jackson then noticed she had been looking at Kenzlyn and Buds medical history.

"Thanks for helping Bud", he looked up," and Kenzlyn", he says playing with the bottom of his shirt looking around," I know you don't know them so that's, um, that's nice," he said nodding

Lizzy gave him a small smile," well I'm here to help you all", she said but Jackson couldn't take her word for it. They all turned out to be liars.

Jackson inhaled softly," your the first nice one we've had around here, I'm hoping, so I thought you should know", his voice got lower

"Know what?" She asked confused with what he meant

"What goes on in the ECT chamber. Kids around her got to callin' that Dr.Langs chamber of horrors. Piece of shit", Jackson scoffs

"Why is that?" She said taking a step towards him. He jumped back a little not liking her coming close to him. Only Kenzlyn was allowed to touch and be near him.

He inclined his head abit," you drop by tonight, you can find out for yourself. I think maybe if your telling the truth about helping us, maybe you can even do something about it", he says quietly

Jackson turns around to walk away but Lizzy stops him
"Jackson", she called out to him," your gonna get out of her some day. Kenzlyn to. And just because you can't trust certain people... it doesn't mean you shouldn't trust others. Besides Kenzlyn there are others out there", she said to him.

Jackson shakes his head
"The only one I'll ever truly trust is Kenzlyn and Bud. She's my life, she keeps my grounded. But maybe I'll think about it." He said walking away.

Now he just hopes Kenzlyn doesn't get hurt too much. Kenzlyn' his mind repeats her name over and over !!!
