When I Met You

I had just been hired by your father to work at his cafe. Your father was very successful so I felt honoured to work for him.

I didn't know why, but, you were always cold towards me. You didn't like or accept me in any way.

Whenever you came to the cafe with your father to check up on my work, you avoided me or cast nasty looks at me. Your father, however, treated me like a son. He was always warm towards me and invited me to your house.

Everytime I visited your house, you feigned happiness in front of your father. You pretended to like me. When he left us alone, you simply became cold. You were always cold. Even when you were faking in front of your father. You acted in front of him.

You smiled and pretended to hug me and shower me with compliments. I admit, I was naive. I did truly believe that you liked me. Like, had a crush on me. And to be honest, I liked you to. Not because of your looks, but because of the caring personality you had.

Soon, I started to notice how your eyes were stone cold when you smiled at me when your father was around. I noticed how stiff your arms were when you hugged me in front of your father. I knew that you hated me.

To be quite frank, I started to despise you.

And things were tense between us especially after your father let you work in the cafe for money.
