As humans, we have acquired a fear of helping the helpless. We resist putting others' needs before ourselves. We hesitate to lend a hand. Primarily, due to the fact that deceit and betrayal has convoluted our veins for many generations and we are afraid of altering the cycle that has helped the strongest survive and left the weak behind.
