Michael had his arm wrapped around Saoirse while her head layed on his bare chest. She listened to his heartbeat as she traced the contours oh his chest with her fingers index finger. Michael watched her with a satisfied smile on his lips.

"You can't keep doing this," Saoirse muttered, her eyes following her finger as it continued to follow its pattern.

"Doing what?" Michael quirked a brow.

"Distracting me," she stopped tracing his chest and glanced up at him, "You can't keep seducing me to sleeping with you when you want to change a subject or convince me to do something. The Seven Wonders is still out of the question. I can't handle that type of power."

Michael sighed, "I still don't think you understand that there isn't a choice," he spoke darkly.

Saoirse sat up, bringing the sheet they layed under up with her to cover herself, "I'm not a game piece, Michael, and I think that's what you're having trouble comprehending."

Michael sat up as well, "I perfectly comprehend what you're saying, Saoirse," he looked to her with a serious face, "But the last time I checked you were on a mission to survive, were you not?"

Saoirse stared back at him, not saying a word.

She did want to live.

Hell if she wasn't so determined to get through with life she'd have ended everything and slit her wrists months ago. But was she really willing to go through a test that could take her life in the process?

"I could still die," she added, "Misty Day..."

Michael smiled back to her, "I brought Misty Day out of Descensum, and I can do the same for you. I'll say it again, put what scares you to the side and stop telling yourself that you aren't capable of accomplishing the Seven Wonders. You dismiss what you are so easily."

Saoirse looked down at the bed she sat on before looking up at him, "You had so many there who supported you. I have a single person who everyone is telling me I'm making the wrong choice with."

"I had more who doubted me than you think," Michael assured her, "I even had one killed so I could succeed."

"Killed?" Saoirse frowned.

"Get dressed, and perhaps I'll show you another one of my memories," he smirked back at her before moving to get out of the bed. Saoirse watched him before moving out of bed herself and collecting her pile of clothes from the ground.

She got dressed quickly and rejoined Michael by the bed.

"Things may be a bit confusing, but know we are talking about John Henry," Michael informed her before grabbing her hands in his own.

Saoirse nodded before closing her eyes.

When she opened them, she found herself outside. It was night time and she was surrounded by woods that stretched far back. But in the midst of the trees stood a large statue, one that looked oddly similar to the one outside of the outpost. A familiar blonde cad in a uniform and a cloak strolled out of the statue with a sneer.

Saoirse looked over to see a woman, Mead, bounding towards the blonde excitedly.

"Oh, my dear boy!" Mead spoke happily as Michael approached her, engulfing the woman in a hug with a smile. Saoirse took a few steps closer, almost standing in between the two facades before her.
