CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR - What On Earth Were You Thinking?!

3rd Person's POV

The blonde haired man has been running around every street with his eagle, and he still couldn't find his younger sister. If he had any common sense, He should've actually thought of Ichiko probably hiding in somebody's house, but maybe he guessed his eagle would have more common sense than he would, not to mention a better sense of navigation. You just couldn't help but think that his eagle was way smarter than he was.

"Seriously..." Roger said in between his breathing. "She's... still... sick!"

Right at that moment, the eagle made a loud screeching sound. It swooped down to get Rogers attention, then soared away in the direction of where they just came from

"We're going back?" Roger asked his eagle, which to other normal, non-bird speaking citizens, it would look like he has a problem upstairs.

I have a feeling that she's in that big place we've checked earlier. Said Vitala

"The one with those grey haired guys? But they said she went this direction!" Roger yelled

Be quiet Vitala said

Rude.

By one of the houses they were passing by, a door swung open.

"Hey you, young man! Do you know how loud- Oh my god an eagle!" An old man yelled, and when he saw the eagle, he slammed his door shut

"What an odd man" Roger said while running

After a few minutes of running, Roger finally stopped, panting as loud as a dehydrated dog

"Vitala, where the hell is she?! Are you cheating me or something?" Roger yelled. There were passers-by staring at him and whispering at each other, probably wondering why the hell is there a foreigner talking to an eagle. When they noticed the eagle part of the situation, their eyes widened in shock, and made a run for it.

Vitala flew higher to get a view of the Sunrise Residence, and she was surprised to see Ichiko on the top floor, surrounded by... men...

Found her! Vitala chirped (literally)

"Really?!" Roger said with amazement. He looked at the familiar house.

So those two men were lying to me, Roger thought.

Hmm, you're not gonna like the sound of this boss, but there are... a few men being a bit too close to her, Vitala said

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!" Roger yelled, an angry vein popping out of his forehead "She still has a fever! They might take advantage of her!"

The eagle looked in through the large windows, and Ichiko seemed to notice her.

Oops, she saw me, Vitala said involuntarily

"You idiot! I was planning a raid!" Roger yelled

How dare you call me an idiot! Is that how you speak to a female? I can see why you still don't have a girlfriend at your age! Vitala looked at Roger, feeling insulted

Roger growled. "So what? You're just a bird!"

*Worthless argument goes on for many minutes*
