"Lina, baby. Be careful.." I spoke loudly to my six year old daughter who was busy jumping from tree branch to tree branch a good few meters above the ground

It wasn't that high, but it was definitely high enough for her to hurt herself if she falls

"daddy, catch me!" she giggles as she continues to leap on different tree branches. I chuckle at how adorable my little girl is, but as well as stubborn. She definitely gets that from her mother... She is actually the spitting image of her mother, the only feature she got from me is her eye color, but I'm not really complaining as I actually wanted her to look like her mother in every way

I snapped out of my thoughts once I saw Lina miss a step and slip off the tree branch she was standing on

"LINA!!" I vampire sped over to her and caught her before she hit the ground "Lina I told you to be careful" I said in a stern voice

My daughter didn't upset or scared in the slightest, instead... She fucking giggled

"that was fun" she laughed. Her laugh melting my heart and making my stern gaze on her soften

"baby, that's not what you call fun... You could've hurt yourself" I search her all over to make sure she didn't injure herself in any way

"I'm sorry, daddy" she looked down with the cutest little pout on her face

"it's okay baby. Just be more careful next time" I told her as I knew there will be plenty of other times "my little trouble maker" I tickle her side and she screams out in laughter

"o-okay d-daddy stop, p-please" she said through gasps

I take my hands away and hold her to my chest "okay baby, we need to go back" I said as I started walking back towards the direction of the castle

"but daaaaaddy" Lina whines as I carry her through the forest

"well be back later, okay"

"uhh okay" she pouts cutely, I chuckle. We walk in silence for a while until Lina decides to break it again

"daddy?"

"hmm?"

"when will mommy wake up?" she asked. Referring to her mother who has been unconscious for the past week

I stop walking and look into my daughters eyes that are now golden, they always seem to do that when she is feeling concerned or angry..

I smile gently at her "she should be awake soon.." I say "do you want to check on her when we get back?"

The sad expression on her face turns into one of happiness, as her eyes turn back to their brown honey color again and a wide smile breaks out across her face

"okay, let's go then" I smile and speed back to the castle. Placing Orlina back on the ground and hold her hand as we walk side by side in the castle

As we walk deeper into the castle I can see maids running around, there was commotion near the chambers that Samantha was currently laying in

As I get closer to her chambers, maids stop and bow. Making way for me and Lina to pass. Ruby and Kiara were both standing outside the doors of her room

"what's going on?" I stop directly in front of them "what's all this commotion about?!" I say with my eyebrows furrowed

"she has awoken" Ruby speaks

My features soften "Sam..?"

Ruby nods

"I'm going to see her.." I pull Lina with me as I try to walk in the room

"it's best if you go alone first" Ruby stops me, placing a hand on my chest "it wouldn't be safe for her to go in yet.." Ruby looks down at Lina then looks back up at me

I immediately understand what she means. Lina is half human half vampire, and although her vampire side over powers her human one.. Her human side still exists. So it wouldn't be safe for her to be in the presence of a newborn... Even if that newborn is her mother..

"Lina?"

"daddy?" she looks up at me with her big round eyes as I get down on one knee and place a hand on her shoulder

"daddy has to talk to mommy by himself for a little bit first. Then auntie Ruby and Kiara will bring you in when I tell them too okay?"

Even though I trust that Sam wouldn't hurt our daughter... It's better to be safe than sorry, I wouldn't want her living with regret for the rest of her life..

"okay daddy" she gives me a small smile before stepping over towards Ruby

I get up and walk over to the doors, opening them and walking inside. Making sure to shut them behind me

Samantha was sitting up on the bed, looking outside through the window. Once she realized there was a presence in the room her eyes snapped towards me.. a blank expression on her face

"Sam?" I take a tep forward

"baby, how are you feeling?" once I'm close enough I notice that her eyes are no longer brown... But red, meaning the transformation is complete

She looks at me up and down and a smile breaks out on her face. In a flash she was out of the bed and hugging me

"Zayn..." she inhaled my scent "I feel great" she buries her face in my neck "you smell so good" she inhales deeply "how come you're the only one that has a pleasing scent?"

I chuckle "that's because you and I are bonded... We're mates" I wrap my arms around her tightly

She laughs "I guess there's a lot I have to be taught.."

"yes.. And I'd be happy to teach you" I smile

"where's Lina?"

"she's outside waiting with Ruby" I touch her cheek "have you had any blood?"

she nodded "the maids got me some when I first woke up... Can I see her?

I hesitantly nod" ruby" I call out "bring her in" I say knowing very well that she can hear me clearly

A second later the door opens to reveal Ruby ith Lina behind he as she walked in. She had an arm out to the side in a sort of protective stance

Sam smelled the air and snapped her gaze to our daughter

"Lina?" she whispered as she held her hand out towards her

"mommy!" Lina shouted excitedly as she ran out from behind Ruby and ran towards her mother

"lina-.." Ruby began but I held my hand up silencing her from what she was about to say

I watched as Sam held Lina tightly in her arms inhaling her pleasing scent I'm sure.. It would only make sense since Lina is a part of both of us

"I missed you my little golden rose petal"

Lina giggled at her mother's nickname for her "I missed you too mommy"

With a warm smile I walked over to my family and embraced them "my two favorite girls in the whole world" I kiss each of their foreheads "now we have eternity together. I can keep my promise and love you both til the end of time"

My life has become meaningful, now that I have you both in it..
