Jay was wrong, the weekend didn't help at all. Besides Garmadon attacking the city, which surprised basically no one, nothing happened during the weekend. Jay just spent the whole weekend feeling sad about Nya think their just friends.

When Monday finally came, Jay still felt upset, but still went to school, regardless of how he felt. Even if he felt like his heart was shattered.

Jay was the first ninja to arrive, pretty much ever day, so he did his usual routine. But once he was done, the others still weren't there.

Jay was about to just go to class when someone bumped into him. He didn't recognize her, but then again, besides the other ninja he really had no friends. So she could have gone to this school since kindergarten and he wouldn't have recognized her.

She had long blonde hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a yellow sweater and a pair of blue jeans. She looked at him, very, apologetically.

"I'm so sorry." She said as she picked up everything she dropped. "I am such an idiot."

"No, it's okay. Accidents happen." Jay said as he helped her pick up her stuff.

After everything was picked up she flashed a grateful smile at him and said, "I'm Emily, sorry again for running into you, but I'm super lost."

"Are you new here?" Jay asked.

"Yes, my family just moved here Friday, and they thought it would be a good idea for me to come to school early today, so I can find all my classes before anyone else gets here." Emily said. "But I can't find any of my classes."

"Well, I'd be happy to show you where all you classes are." Jay said.

"Thanks, I'd appreciate that." Emily said, slightly blushing.

For the rest of the morning, Jay showed Emily around the school. It turned out they had a lot in common. Emily loved inventing things and the color blue too.

Soon, they went to their different classes. Jay sat in his unusual seat and waited for the bell to ring. He found himself thinking about Emily. She seemed like a really nice and friendly girl.

Then, about halfway through class, the ground started to shake. "Oh no, it's Garmardon!" The teacher said to the class.

"Thanks Lloyd!" The other kids yelled at Lloyd, who looked ashamed of his dad.

"Okay, you all know the drill! Duck and cover!" The teacher yelled, hiding under her desk.

Then, he and the other ninja all asked at the same it, "Can I have a bathroom pass?" The teacher nodded, and the team ran into the hallway.

They opened their lockers and stepped inside. Then they were in their secret headquarters. They quickly got dressed in their ninja suits and got into their mechs, ready to face Garmadon, again.
