Chapter 23
The Date
It was a beautiful Saturday morning, I heard the birds tweeting and the sun was shining so brightly.
Alex was coming around at 1:00pm and it was 10:30am right now, so I had quite a while to get ready.
I decided on wearing a flower-y, strapless dress, not long but also not too short, it was a little bit above my knee, I also had these wedge heels that went with the dress perfectly.
Before I started getting ready I grabbed some bags and gathered all of the thing in my room, like jewelry boxes, things I had made when i was younger, stationary just everything that was laying around. After about 40 minutes I carried 5 bags of rubbish down the stairs, my room was pretty much empty now, well except for my bed, bed side table, book shelf and desk.
"morning." Josh smiled while he ate his captain crunch. I honest don't understand why he eats that, it's gross!
"morning." I replied dropping the bags and the sound echoing around the house as it was also mostly empty.
"where're you going today?" he asked.
"out with Alex." I made my way over to the kitchen to grab some breaky.
"oh that reminds me." Josh gestured for me to take a seat at the table, which most likely won't be here when I get back from my date with Alex.
"have you told him about Australia?"
I felt so guilty, and I looked at the ground in shame.
"Eliza!" Josh cussed.
"he'll be heartbroken if you just leave without telling him!"
"Alex will be okay.. Well maybe not at first but he'll have his mates and band to worry about."
"Eliza.. I can't believe you would do this." Josh sighed.

I had my dress on and was now doing my hair. I made sure I kept my make up and hair straightener.
After about 20 minutes I was ready, I wasn't usually the type of girl to take 2 hours to get ready, I really just didn't see the point when it can take me just 20 minutes and I look fine.

"Eliza? Someone's at the door for you." I heard Josh yell up the stairs with a smirk on his face.
"I'll see you later Josh." I smiled while walking downstairs.
"have fun, and don't get home too late."
Slowly opening the door (so alex didn't see my nearly empty house) and sliding out I found a nicely dress Alex.
"wow! You look great." he smiled while placing a kiss on my lips.
"so do you." I grinned. "now do you mind telling me where we're going?" I asked with a smirk.
"secret!" he winked. "you don't mind walking do you?"
"of course not!" I laughed.
Alex and I still weren't old enough to have our drivers license so we made our way down the footpath. Hand in hand.
-10 minutes later-
Alex and I had talked/walked for a while until we arrived at what seemed like the destination.
It was a carnival that was being held in the main street. I didn't even know it was on!
Alex payed for the both of us to go in, even though I insisted on paying for myself.
