The road to greatness is littered with debris,
You have to stub your toes on a lot of disappointment,
Trip over numerous bits of despair and anger,
Fall continuously over an endless number of mistakes,
Break a limb or two over some depression,
Hit your head on some despair,
And yet,
You have to lift yourself up each time,
Ensure that you heal well from all that you encountered,
Understand that everything that you tripped and fell over was necessary,
Your scars signify the ordeal you went through and overcame,
All the while remembering to thank your faith, family and the friends that assisted you,
In making you, who you are today.
