Tom followed behind Harrison as they pushed their way through the crowd of people near the front door. The air was hot and heavy from all of the people that were crammed into the small house. Some friends, and lots of people Tom didn't even know, were greeting Tom and Harrison as they walked by with choruses of "how ya doin, mate?" and fist bumps. When they finally made it to the kitchen, Harrison pushed a beer into Tom's hands. Tom nodded in thanks as he took a swig, leaning against the counter, and looking out of the sea of people who had gathered at the house party. Tom didn't know the person who was throwing the party, and neither did Harrison, but apparently, Harrison's friend had a mutual friend with the person who was having the party.

Normally, Tom didn't mind going out and partying, but lately, he just wasn't up to it. He'd only recently gotten back from a press tour, and he just needed a bit of a break. This time, however, Harrison had practically forced him out, saying that "it'd be good for him." After a lot of persuading, and being told that the girl he was interested in might be there, Tom had agreed. Now, Tom was in search of her, just to make this outing worthwhile. It wasn't long until he caught sight of her, his eyes widening immediately, his heart beating faster. Just like what had happened the first time he saw her.

Tom was sitting across from Harrison in a small cafe near their place. It was a warm Sunday morning, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping; Tom's favorite kind of weekend morning. Everything seemed perfect. The boys had been too lazy to make breakfast for themselves, so they'd ended up at the cafe. A huge, still warm, chocolate chip muffin was placed in front of Tom, along with his large cup of coffee. He took a sip of the coffee, immediately scrunching his face up at how hot it still was. Harrison was the kind of person who didn't care about that, though, and was immediately digging into his food, taking a big sip of his coffee.

Leaning forward with his elbows on the table, Tom glanced out across the cafe as he waited for everything to cool down. All the way across the cafe, he spotted two girls sitting across from each other at a table. One of the girls had her back to him, but the other was facing his direction. It looked as if she was really invested in the conversation they were having; her face was animated and she gestured as she talked. She was absolutely breathtaking in every way.

Harrison had followed Tom's gaze and realized that he knew one of the girls, so he called out across the cafe, "Hey, Lily!" The outburst had paused the girls' conversation, and the girl with her back to Tom turned around, giving Harrison a smile and a wave. Luckily for Tom, the other girl, the one he had noticed, looked up too.

Their eyes locked, and Tom's heart started beating faster. Tom sucked in a deep breath in an attempt to calm himself, but it didn't work because his heart only started racing faster when she gave him a shy smile. Tom lifted his shaky hand to give her a wave, a smile finding it's way to his lips. He only hoped he wasn't making a complete fool of himself in front of this gorgeous girl.

When they broke eye contact, Tom turned quickly to look at Harrison, his words coming out in a rush, "Haz, who is that girl with Lily?"
