Suffering the Consequences

Ariana's POV

My hand was in my chest, keeping myself from crying as I sat in my living room.  I can't believe Jaxxon has been lying to me. All this time I thought he was under the potion.

And what did he just say? He was just playing around with me? So the first time he gave me a roses in the field, when he brought me to shopping and all those small gestures before were all staged? At noong sinabi ko sa kanya ang totoo, na hindi naman niya talaga ako mahal at naka-inom lang siya ng potion kaya akala niya may gusto siya sa akin. I remember him getting mad, acting all innocent. He's been lying to me.

I can only cover my face in total astonishment from all the realization. I just made a fool out of myself. He knows how guilty I am for being with him even though I know he was under a spell. I was so paranoid about the potion losing it's effect and Jaxxon hating me. Kaya pala lagi itong umiiwas kapag napag-uusapan namin ang tungkol sa potion.

"Oh god, I'm so f*cking stupid!" I exclaimed letting myself cry. I shouldn't have believe that witch in the first place. I'm such an idiot for believing about potions. What a fool I made myself.

Gusto ko nalang sumigaw sa sobrang galit at kahihiyan sa sarili. Napaka-tanga ko talaga at hindi ko man lang napansin na matagal na palang nagsisinungaling sa akin si Jaxxon. Nanatili lang akong nakayuko habang naririnig ang telepono ko sa mesa.

Jaxxon has been calling me and I never dared answer his calls. I don't know what to tell him. I can't face him right now. I am mad at him for lying to me but I'm more angry at myself because it all started from my stupidity.

Iniyak ko nalang lahat ng galit na nararamdaman hanggang sa hindi ko na namalayan na nakatulog na pala ako sa sofa. Nagising nalang ako sa malalakas na katok na naggagaling sa pinto.
"Ariana, nasa loob ka ba?! I swear, I you don't f*cking open this I'm going to break this damn door!" Sigaw ni Jaxxon na patuloy parin sa pagkatok ng malakas.

Naang buksan ko ang pinto ay bakas ang pag-aalala ni Jaxxon nang yakapin ako.

"F*ck! Are you okay? I've been looking around for you. Bakit hindi mo sinasagot ang mga tawag ko? I thought something happened!" He exclaimed as he studied me and then stopped when he noticed my swollen eyes.

"What happened?" His expression became hard as I took a step back away from him. "Have you been crying? What's wrong? Tell me."

When I finally had the couraged to look at him, my hand trembled as I speak. "You've been lying to me."

"What are you talking about?" He tried to reach for me but I backed away. I can't let him touch me and sway my feelings again.

"Nandon ako kanina sa hideout niyo habang nag-uusap kayo ni Denver. I heard everything. All your confessions. That you're only playing around with me. Ganon' na ba ako kababa sa paningin mo para paglaruan lang?" I huffed. "At ang tanga-tanga ko din dahil naniwala ako sa kasinungalingan mo. You were probably laughing at me while watching me pour that damn potion on a bottle."

"No! F*cking hell, Ariana! I never thought of you that way. Let me explain—-"

"No, don't touch me please." I snatched back my arm when he tried to touch me. "You don't have to explain anything. I know the truth now. That you were not in love with the first place.

"But I love you now. I really do. That all that matters."

"That's all that matter? How about the fact that you had been lying to me, Jaxxon. You made me look like a fool."

Kitang-kita ko kung paanong ikinuyom ni Jaxxon ang mga kamao at kung gaano nito pinipigilang hindi ako hawakan. Bahid sa mukha nito ang pagsisisi at takot.
