"Okay, so if it's such a trouble selling these.....narcotics then why wouldn't they just overthrow the government from the beginning?" Loki asked Ivanna curiously as the intro of Narcos came on.
"Well Pablo Escobar had to get the connections first," Ivanna explained to him briefly, soon throwing some marshmallows in her mouth. "That's how he was able to bribe the police and get some people from the Columbian government to go along with him. Homeboy had people who would literally do anything for that man."
"Ug, Midgardians would do anything for those ugly green sheets," Loki rolled his eyes with the shake of his head. He always thought that humans had the most dumbest motives ever.
She raised a brow at him, giggling, "You mean cash?"
"Whatever," he shrugs, soon taking some marshmallows from the bag and popping some in his mouth.
"You're something else," Ivanna shook her head chuckling then looking at the TV.
"If it were me then I wouldn't care, I would just have to kill everybody to get what I want," Loki says effortlessly.
"That's basically what Pablo did," she reminded him.
"I would have done it better," he brags with the shrug of his arms.
"I'm sure you would have babe," she took his hand and laced their fingers together, eyes still not drifting away from the TV even though she could feel his eyes on her.
Loki looked down at their hands and smiled softly, "It's funny that you don't look at me differently."
Ivanna turned to him, "How so?"
"Don't make me point out the obvious," he says rubbing his thumb on her skin.
"What? I'm different too Loki. The other gods and goddesses don't consider me as their equal," she shrugs. "I stand out like a sore thumb as well."
"Well..when you put it like that it makes me feel a bit better," Loki shoots a sarcastic smile at her.
"It's okay to be different. It's what makes us unique in our own ways," Ivanna tells him as she watched the action packed episode on the screen. There was already a lot of gun violence and bloodshed going on.
"You sound like a mother," Loki teases her. "Like honestly, you're so corny, where do you get it from?"
Her heart broke a little bit and her mouth instantly went dry. She tried to swallow but it was so hard, as if something was stuck in her throat; but it was just her trying not to get choke up on her emotions. Don't cry in front of him, don't cry in front of him, just don't do it, she coached herself as her hand went cold and her skin lacked of color as she tried her hardest not to bustdown in a matter of seconds.
