*Garroth's POV*

Here we go again...

Hopefully Aphmau's surprise is worth all of this exercise. Though, considering the subject of my brother, this can go one of two ways: either I'll get happy, carefree, ready for anything Zane, or I can get uptight, angsty, emo Zane.

Whatever happens, it'll consist of me walking across campus for the 50 millionth time today, which, might I add, is about 49,999,999 times too many.

Anyway, I want to become friends with Katelyn. She seems like a cool person, and if she's Aphmau's friend, she has to be a nice person.

There's also something that I sense is.. unusual about her. Something magical, but not like a type of magic that anyone's heard of before.

I've sensed this feeling in Aph and Aaron before as well, but they haven't been as noticeable at first glance.

"Hey there," I start the conversation.

"Hey," she says. "What's up?"

"Not much, you?"

"Nothing for me either, just having life go on another day."

"This day's been stressful. It's only 10:00 and I had to go deal with so much already."

"Yeah, looks like Irene wants us to do as much work as she did a long time ago."

"Seems like it. So, you going to the café?" I ask.

"Yeah, Kawaii~Chan got a job there this year so she can get an easier hold on student loans."

"Nice, my brother has a job there as well."

"Wanna race?"

"Sure."

And then we ran. Katelyn's hair flew through the wind, random strands of blue swaying up and down at the beat of her feet landing on the cement.

She is certainly an interesting character.

*Laurance's POV*

"I think I just felt somebody breaking the fourth wall," Aphmau said as we were walking towards the campus courtyard.

"That's interesting," I comment.

"Speaking of feelings," she sneered. "How are you and Garroth doing?"

"I'm.. not sure exactly," I hesitated, thinking about what I say this time.

"What do you mean by that?" she asks, turning to face me.

"I mean, we've never really talked about it," I confess. "We've been mostly preoccupied with other affairs."

"Well then," she says. "What do you think about it?"

That's kind of a hard question to answer, the thought of me having a relationship with him is one that even my adult mind can't comprehend. But it's my heart that thinks otherwise, I wonder, what is it about the guy that completely changes everything?

I thought I was straight before, but he might be the one that makes me think otherwise.

I open my mouth and then I speak, "Actually... I haven't given it much thought. This is an important decision of my life and I can't just decide it on a whim."

I thought that Aphmau wouldn't understand, but she just looked at me, nodded her head, and said "I get it, these last few days have been rough. Hopefully you'll be able to make your decision soon."
