ISAAC'S POV :
(Five years later)

I was busy reading the files when the door slammed open. I don't need to look up to know it's Amour.

"What are you doing here Amour?" I asked her.

"I heard you want the best private investigator, so here I am" she said and bowed dramatically. This is not good.

I opened and closed my mouth several times not knowing what to say.

"Do you want to know about Ms. Dimitri? " She asked. Well damn...Think something Issac.

"Yeah, I want to know about her cause I don't think it's a coincidence that she just landed on the job as soon I fired my previous secretary" I said. I mentally high fived myself.

Amour laughed as if she heard the best joke in the world.

"Coincidence my ass, did you seriously think the girl you love just came out of nowhere and landed next to you" she hissed.

My eyes widened in realization. She didn't...did she?

"She was the first person I searched into as soon I started IDK corps, it was all my plan to make her work here it took years but was worth it. So don't give the crap" She said and slammed the desk and cried out in pain. Did she think it's a movie to do such things? Drama queen.

"Fine, I want to know about Ashley alright" I said in defeat.

"Now that's like a good boy, you will get it by tomorrow morning" she said and ruffled my hair.

I just grunted.

Before exiting,

"I didn't make her break up with her boyfriend and brought her from another part of California just for you to lose her again. There won't be a third chance Isaac" with that she left.

I know I've been treating Ashley like crap for the past month. But come on what do you expect from a person who gets rejected by their mate every damn time.

With a sigh, I continued my work.

There was a soft knock on the door.

"Come in," I said.

In came the person who is twisting and turning in my thoughts.

She stood there looking past me not once meeting my eyes.

" Do you happen to like my walls Ash?" I asked her with a serious face. Her nickname definitely snapped her.

She swiftly looked into my eyes.

"No, I don't like anything that belongs to you and doesn't call me Ash, only family and friends can call me Ash" she snapped and heaved heavily.

"And whose fault is that my sweet Ash," I said and walked towards hers.

"We could have been together years back" I said and stood so close to her.
Her bad luck is that she is cornered by my desk.

"We could have fallen in love with each other," I said and twirled a strand of hair in my fingers.

"We could have been married now," I said and kissed her collar bone.

Inching my lips closer to her, I breathed out heavily. She shivered.

"But you rejected your other half and ran away," I said and pushed myself away from her despite my wolves whining.

"Bro... Why can't you take my advice and lock her up in our bedroom?" my wolf asked.

"Shut up" I snapped at my wolf

I noticed her looking at me with teary eyes. It took me everything not to go and hold her in my hands.

Then as if remembering something she shook her head and looked straight into my eyes.

"You can't blame me for not wanting you because you had Miss. Jona..." she said.

"I know that the little brat is the reason behind my baby not wanting me, Did she prank on my Ash baby? " my wolf intervened much to my irritation.

I didn't bother replying him.

"What?" I yelled. Shit, this was what has been stopping her, I don't believe her.

"Don't, just don't bring Amour between us" I warned her.

"Look I didn't even finish her name, you go ballistic," She said and threw her arms up in the air. She looks like a kid who lost an argument with their mother.

"Look you've got it all wrong, I and amour are not in a relationship like you think" I said earnestly.

"Then why the fuck is she staying with you? why the fuck are you sleeping with her?" she yelled.

I didn't notice that I raised my hand until she pointed out.

"See, you are ready to slap me" she accused.

" No, I'll never raise my hands on any woman especially my mate" I said and held her hands.

"OK if there is nothing going on between you two then tell her to move out of your house" She said.

"No, anything other than that. I can't send her away, she'll be with me" I said to her.

"Then don't you dare say I rejected you, it was you who made me do it" she said and removed herself hands from mine.

"Fine I don't want someone who doesn't trust me or my decisions" I yelled at her.

"Fine Mr.Knight" she said.

"If that is all you could continue your work Miss.Dimitri" I said.

With a glare she left.

"Wow we just had our first couples fight, OK now tell me when are we going to have makeup sex? " my wolf questioned rather seriously.

My life is pretty much fucking fantastic.

After sometime I groaned out when I heard a knock.

"Come in" I said

Ashley poked his head inside.

I raised my eyebrow.

"Someone is here to see you" she spat out and disappeared from my sight.

"Isaac, our mate is so sexy when she is angry" My wolf said happily.

Few seconds later the person came in.

"What do you want? Who gave you the rights to step into my office?" I yelled standing up from my chair.

Oh God I can't believe of all the wolf I got a stupid wolf , irritating amour , a mate who is up my ass all the time and a fucking leech named Olivia Roman.

"You meant to say awesome wolf" my wolf said.

At the exact minute I want to bang my head until I pass out.
