it was jihoon's first day of work. he got hired to work at a locally owned veterinary clinic, which jihoon really hoped he would get chosen for. he was excited, even if he was only working the front desk.
soonyoung sat in the driver's seat as jihoon sat in the passenger's seat, they sat in the parking lot as soonyoung contemplated his decision of allowing jihoon to work. he bit his lip as he looked at his very excited boyfriend.
jihoon smiled at soonyoung, who just returned with a disgruntled expression. jihoon chuckled, he leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on his lips.
"i'll be alright! i'll stop by on my lunch break, and my shift ends at seven. then pick me up, okay?" jihoon said and soonyoung sighed and nodded.
"it just scares me that my baby won't be safe at home," he mumbled and jihoon scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"stop being so gross!" jihoon responded but couldn't help but beam a cute smile.
"text me, okay?" soonyoung said with a worried tone and jihoon couldn't believe how much he sounded like a concerned parent.
jihoon nodded. he gently laid his lips onto soonyoung's as a good bye but couldn't stop as soonyoung kissed back. once they released jihoon got out of the car and walked into the building.
soonyoung sighed and backed out of the parking lot.

it was now jihoon's lunch break and he was on his way to the cafe, that was just down the road, to see his miserable boyfriend. soonyoung had been endlessly expressing his large dislike to jihoon's job, but jihoon worked with endless passion.
he even enjoyed his co-workers. baekhyun was the veterinary technician while chanyeol was the owner of the clinic, and the two had the biggest crush on each other. then there was seokjin who took care of grooming and namjoon who was the groomer in training, who were together and voiced it a lot. and when jihoon came in they treated him like family.
it made him feel special.
jihoon walked into the cafe to see soonyoung look over with hopeful and excited eyes. he saw jihoon and his eyes practically beamed brighter as he jumped over the counter and wrapped his arms around jihoon. jihoon smiled and wrapped his arms around the other.

"don't go backkkk," soonyoung whined as he held his boyfriend's waist. jihoon just rolled his eyes and peeled his arms off.
"i have to love, i'll see you at seven," jihoon said as he cupped soonyoung's face and soonyoung frowned. jihoon kissed his forehead as he walked out of the door.

he walked into the clinic to see jin straddling namjoon as his head rested on namjoon's shoulder. namjoon held his arms around jin. the cute sight made jihoon smile. he heard a clutter from one of the exam rooms followed with baekhyun giggling and he couldn't help but smile.
jihoon went behing the desk and pulled out his phone. he began to text soonyoung.
