The aisles of the Hogwarts train was slammed as students rushed to find empty compartment before takeoff.

The 7th years were crying into each other shoulders due to their impending farewells while the 6th years were buzzing in excitement due to their last summer before their final year at Hogwarts.

I sat nervously in a compartment with Lily and Alice awaiting for the train to make its trek.

"Anne..." Lily started, "Not that we don't want you here, but don't you usually spend the train ride with the Marauders."

"She's avoiding Remus," Alice said boredly flipping through witch weekly.

Lily looked at me curiously, "Why, may I ask?"

Alice peeked up curiously as I huffed in aggravation, "I suppose I could tell you."

They both sat up in interest as I took a deep breath, "I'm breaking up with Remus."

They both looked at me alarmed, "What?!? No, you can't."

"I have to you guys!  It's for his own good," I said standing up, "Now if you will excuse me, I have to go make my friend hate me."

I made my way out despite the girls protest and walk towards the Marauder compartment where I could hear the sounds of laughter and loud explosions making a smile temporarily come to my face.

I opened the door and looked upon the scene of Peter and Remus with burnt hair from exploding snap and Sirius having James pinned to the ground with a hairbrush in hand.

They all stopped what they were doing and stared in surprise as I laughed at them.

They all fixed themselves up and sat down normally, Sirius spoke first, "Hey Anne!  I'm surprised to see you here."

I blushed in embarrassment as I said, "Yea, I've been a little checked out lately.  Remus, can I talk to you for a minute?"

Remus nodded and stood up following me out and towards the compartment next to the bathroom that always seems to be empty.

We entered the compartment and sat down next to each other.  I grabbed Remus's hand softly and he looked at me worriedly, "What's wrong Anne?"

"You know I love you, right Remus?" I said gently trying to find the correct words.

"Of course Anne!  I love you too..."

"...and you know I would never want to hurt you on purpose right?" I interrupted him.

"Anne what is this about?" Remus said grabbing my face to look at me.

"I'm not this perfect girl you always pictured I was Remus, I make more mistakes then I can count and I almost always screw stuff up, but I don't want to screw up our friendship and that is why this is so hard.."

"Anne you're rambling," Remus interrupted.

"Sorry..." I said sheepishly.

"It's okay... I think I caught on to what's happening anyways," Remus said running a hand through his hair.

"You do?" I said looking down ashamed.

"Can you just answer one thing?"  Remus asked and I nodded in response.

"Why?" He asked.

I sat and thought for a minute, "I've been developing feelings for someone else."

Remus sat there and stared at me for a while making me flinch, "please say something."

He stood up and paced back and forth before stopping in front of me, "Is it Sirius?"

"Remus ..."

"DAMNIT ANNE!  ANSWER THE DAMN QUESTION!" Remus yelled.

I felt tears come out of my eyes as I stood up, "YES! OKAY? Yes... I have been developing feelings for Sirius.  I didn't mean to do this to you Remus!"

Remus looked at me calmly, "I know you didn't, but he did."

"Remus..." I said softly but he waved me off, "Just go be with him Anne, I hope you'll be happy together."

I felt the tears fall as I walked out of the compartment and ran into James who stopped me with a concerned look on his face, "Anne? What's wrong?"

I sniffled as I wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my face into his neck, "I just need my brother right now..."

James wrapped his arms around me and said, "Come on let's get you to the girls."

He entered the girls compartment and handed me over to Lily who took me into her arms immediately and looked at James with a kind look, "Thank you James."

"No problem," he said shrugging, "She's my little sister, I'd so anything to make sure she is okay."

Lily looked at him curiously, "Mature of you, I guess I'll see you next term then James."

James smiled at her, "see you then."

James walked out as I let out one last cry, "He hates me!"
