Haruka

I was waiting on the rooftops for a good ten minutes after school until Masato arrived.

" Hey Haruka-senpai!" Masato cheerily greeted.

" We're only a month apart, baka."

" Ya, ya. I love you too."

Is it wrong for my heart rate to speed up? I mean, I know he means it in family way, but still. You never know, my life my turn out to be one of those cliché love stories where the best friends fall for each other. Unlikely, but still.

" What did you want?"

Masato gasped. " I can't talk to my best friend?"

You know, it kinda hurt when he called me his best friend.

" Idiot. I'm not stupid. What you want from me?"

" Why I never-"

" Get on with the point, idiot."

" Eh...Fine, You caught me. I um...Was wondering if you could get me a date?"

WHAT??? No...It can't be. He must totally like someone else.

"D'awww my little Masato-kun is growing up. Now tell me who, ya little coward."

"Guess."

" Fine. Might as well make a game, eh?"

"Yep."

" Hmm...Suzuna?"

"Nope."

"Melanie?"

"Da hell? You know I ship her with Ayato, right?"

" Hmph, True. Uh...Estelle?"

" Nah"

" Yui?"

" WHAT THE F*CK HARUKA?!? THAT B*TCH IS F*CKING EVIL!! WHAT THE F*CK POSSESSED YOU TO SAY THAT!?!"

" Wow, Mr.OverReact. Heh...Ayato?"

"Wow. Seriously, Haru-chan?"

"Haru? Are ya serious? Hm...Me?" I said, Getting my hopes up slightly.

Masato burst out laughing.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! GOOD ONE HARUKA!"

Oh. T-That means he doesn't like me.

"I know, right? I'm such a comedian. I mean like, we're like siblings!" I lied. I think it seemed I had less energy, since Masato stopped laughing and looked concerned.

" Yo, You okay?"

" Yep, totally! So, lemme guess, Sakura?" I said sadly, but hopefully he wouldn't notice.

" That's the one! Uh...Do you mind giving her my number?"

" Are you serious? Quite the coward, aren't ya?" I teased.

"Yep." He said, then started walking away.

"You owe me by the way!" I yelled, about to cry.

"WHATEVER, YOUR THE BEST, ETWAS-SENPAI!"

As soon as the door closed, I just started crying. And crying.
