Jimin is on his second cup of hot cocoa when Taehyung and Jungkook finally make their way inside the homely cafe.
"Before you do any scolding, I'd like to let it be known right now that it's not my fault..." Taehyung begins after Jimin gives him and Jungkook a look, one that asks for an explanation regarding their tardiness this morning. "Jungkook-ah, you wanna tell Minnie why we're late?"
The two sit opposite of Jimin at the small round table, Jungkook suddenly looking embarrassed as he hangs his head, opening his mouth to speak softly. "I kinda got carried away and lost track of time... playing video games. I was on the last match and I forgot TaeTae was waiting for me outside in the car."
"Plus the drive over here took forever and a day thanks to traffic," Taehyung added.
"It's always video games with you, isn't it?" Jimin chuckles, talking to Jungkook as he reaches over to playfully ruffle the youngest's hair. Jimin's heart warms in his chest after Jungkook glances up through his thick lashes, a small smile posted on his pretty face.
"Hyung's not upset with me?" Jungkook asks cutely, tilting his head to the side. If he had a tail it'd surely be wagging right about now.
"I'm not upset, Kookie." Jimin assures him. "I'll let you off the hook this time, but only because I'm in a good mood."
Taehyung raises a brow, curious. "Oh? How come?"
As Jungkook goes to order something for him and Taehyung, Jimin fills Taehyung in on his latest, and accidental, discovery. "Well, let me first start off by saying that it really is a small, small world we live in..."
The reason Jimin called this get together with Taehyung and Jungkook today is because of a picture that he saw Taehyung upload to Instagram yesterday. It was a picture of Taehyung posing with a tall and handsome looking man who just so happened to be dressed in a sanitation workers outfit. Knowing that Namjoon has a crush on one of the garbage men that handles his trash on Friday's, the same man that he was currently texting his life away with, the wheels in Jimin's head immediately began turning.
Jimin would've paid the picture no mind if only his best friend, Kim Namjoon, hadn't been obsessed with 'the hottest garbage man I've ever seen' — his words exactly.
Having stared at Taehyung's photo for the longest time, even up until now, it was hard for Jimin to process what he was seeing, what it all meant. How on earth did he manage to be friends with Taehyung and Jungkook, two people that are conveniently linked to Namjoon's crush? Jimin knew briefly of Taehyung and Jungkook's hyung, Kim Seokjin, if he remembers the name correctly; he and Jimin have never formally met, but from time to time, Taehyung and Jungkook would bring him up in conversation.
