it's new year's eve.
i'm here at eunbin's place with her family.
she invited me to come over tonight.
i was living all by myself though so i thought, why not celebrate new year with them?
my parents are in japan.
i just flew here in korea to study.
i thought i wouldn't have friends, and no one would care about me.
thankfully, eunbin came.
possibly one of the best things that happened in my life.
"haruto! want some ice cream?" eunbin's mom asked.
"yes please"
i looked all over the place.
and noticed that eunbin's brother is walking towards me.
i got nervous.
"yow. haruto, right?"
"yea"
"i'm seunghun, eunbin's brother. nice to meet you!"
"yea, same"
he's... intimidating.
and somehow scary.
"so you're the tall, dark, and handsome man eunbin's talking about"
he looked at me from head to toe.

i'm shaking.
"she has good standards. i see. no wonder she fell for you"

he looked at me one last time and leave.
eunbin sat beside me and asked. "what did he say?"
"nothing. just a guy thing, you know"
"oh. g-guy thing. okay? anyways you look pale"
"he's scary" i said.
she smiled.
"he may look scary at first, but he's the softest person i know"
i didn't answer.
we became quiet for a while.
but i decided to break that silence.
"eunbin"
"yea?"
"i have something to say"
"sure! spill it"
it's hard, but..
"i'm leaving"
