it was finally the day where the team would see if they would make it in the championship game to play iceland.
fiona and adam woke up next to each other both hoping that this was not going to be their last game with each other . they didn't even know if adam was going to be able to play since her wrist injury.
fiona looked up her boyfriend. "how's your wrist?" she questioned.
adam looked down at his wrist and began moving it perfectly. "it's good enlighten to play." he smiled.
"that's good." she said as leaned in closer to his lips.
they began to get up and get changed so they wouldn't be late to the bus.
they walked out of the dorm room hand in hand in silence praying that he would be able to play with her for maybe one last time.
they walked out into the hot california weather as they saw the team waiting for them on the air conditioned bus.
they plopped down in the second row of the bus so they could just be alone for a little bit longer.
once they arrived at the rink , fiona stopped adam from getting up from his seat. "i love you." she said as he held tightly on his good hand.
he glared over at her while smiling. "i love you." he replied as he stood up from his bus seat.
they walked into the hockey stadium as they heard the cheers from the crowd.
the walk to the locker room was silence since the team was super nervous for the game.
adam broke the silence when he started speaking to coach bombay. "i can play coach." he said enthusiastically.
coach stared at him as he picked up his own hockey stick and began moving his wrist around perfectly.
fiona's mouth spread out on her pale skin so she could have the biggest smile for her boyfriend.
the team was impressed and excited for the team mate. they weren't as excited as his girlfriend fiona since she decided to pounce towards him and embrace him in her arms.
goldberg interrupted the couple's moment. "come on love birds! we have a game to win!" he yelled as the team cheered with him.
