Somehow Nancy didn't think Elon Musk was about to come to her rescue. Her father always warned her one of her stupid ideas would get her in trouble someday and, as much as she hated to admit it, it was beginning to look as though he was right.
Three months ago when she discovered spelunking on YouTube she thought it sounded amazing. She loved swimming and was fascinated by caves, so the two seemed like such an obvious pairing. Now that she was cold, wet, lost and alone 40 metres underground she found herself less enamored with the idea.
"So this is how it ends, huh?" she asked herself, her voice echoing back to her. "At least I made it to 30," she added.
