Chapter 2 (the Reason)

after batman,Red Robin,Nightwing,Red hood and robin leave the house that belonged to Stacy Wilson a man with a mask one side orange the other side black enters the house investigating and is clearly shocked to what he discovers so your on your own now kid i'll find you Stacy and make you tell me the truth he said he looks around and finds a hidden floor board opening it shows all the hospitals she's been and all the bills and the last known hospital Gotham General he smirks under his mask its time we have a talk my dear he said then leaving 

                                          Mia pov

I enter mom's room i see her hooked up to all different IV's a heart monitor on she's pale she's very skinny "mom" i whisper she looks in my direction "hello my little fox" she said i smiled walking up to her bed "how are you feeling" i asked "not to bad today" she said in a raspy voice I smiled a sad smile "oh sweetheart you look exhausted" she said "I'm fine mom I've just been working late hours" i said i hate lying to my mom but its so she won't worry she thinks I'm bartending but clearly I'm not "Miss. Wilson could i have a word with you" the Dr said i nodded kissing my mom's forehead we were out in the hall way "if this is about this months bill i already-" i said but was cut off "no" he said "i want to have a word with you about your mother's condition" i nodded "all the treatments have been paid" i said he nodded "i know but none of them seem to be working well you need to prepare yourself" he said "if none of the treatments work your mother won't make it to next month" he said No! i said "she's strong she'll make it" i said glaring at him "we don't know that Miss. Wilson" "yes we do" i said glaring "the cells are starting to attack important organs" he said "at this rate" he said "you don't know that"! i said i cleared my throat "excuse me" i said entering mom's room "I'm sorry mom but i have to get to work" i said "okay sweetie just be careful" she said i kissed her cheek

as i was entering the floor that Stacy was on i heard shouting i see the girl from the pictures at the house her arms crossed and glaring at the doctor arguing with him "you don't know that"! she yelled "she's strong she will make it"!! i hear their entire conversation she excused herself going into the room Stacy was in "I'm sorry mom i have to go to work" she said kissing her on the cheek did she just say mom i thought after she left i entered the room i didn't have my mask or uniform on so i entered the room "Stacy" i said her eyes widen "Slade" she whispered "what are you doing here" she asked  "I heard you were in the hospital but more importantly who is she" i pointed in the direction the girl left she looked away "who...is...she.." i asked "our daughter" she said in a whisper my eyes widen 

                                                         Mia pov

I went home and changed into my other clothes and my fox mask and hood on i jump out the window i jump roof from roof trying to clear my mind I'm on top of wayne tower looking out at the city what am i gonna do i thought 

                                                       Dick's pov

we are all in the bat cave when Batman pulls up a file on the bat computer "Stacy Wilson she was admitted to several different hospitals in the past two years" batman said "according to her records she has rare Leukemia" Tim said "it attack the bones first then the blood and then the organs" Jason said "that's rough" he said "it says here that her body has rejected all the treatments" Damian said Bruce pulled up the surveillance on the floor "there she is!" Jason said we listen to what they were talking about then she leaves storming out "we need to find her" i said  everyone nods and we hit the street 

                                                     Mia pov

what can i do i thought as i run roof top from roof top if i lose her i might as well say goodbye to myself i thought as I'm running i hear a set of foot steps from behind me i turn around and do a roadhouse kick put they caught it i look to see a man in a black and orange mask "not bad" he said i glared at him pulling my foot away from him i get in a fighting stance "easy" he said "what do you want" i said "i just want to talk" he said "yeah that's why your dressed like a mercenary" i said glaring at him he chuckled "you got me there" he said "I'm here to tell you something" he said" i know about your mother" then i pulled out my katana and pointed it at him "how dare you! you have no right!" i said "don't you even wonder why she never spoke of your father or ever talked about him" he asked me  " i don't need him i don't need anyone" i said glaring at him he chuckled "you are a stubborn one" he said "well kid i...am...your...Father" he said "prove it" i said still pointing my sword at him "all in due time he said turning around I'll be in touch" he said disappearing 

now where was i oh right about to pull off a small job i thought making my way to Gotham Museum i open the roof window climbing down the rope and I walked through the jewel part of the Museum and found the devils eye ruby i grab it without setting any alarms off climbing back up the rope i look at the Jewel "this should get me some kind of money" i said 

                                              Third person pov

Batman Red Robin Red Hood Nightwing and Robin arrive at the hospital and find Stacy Wilson's room "Stacy wilson" batman said she looked at all of them with dull eyes "can i help you" she asked in a raspy voice "where is your daughter" Batman asked "she's at work to make money so she can take care of me" she said with a sad smile Batman sits in the chair next to her "are you sure" he said to her "sigh i should have known what has she done" she asked in a worried tone "nothing to worry about Nightwing said we just need to ask her a few questions" she sighed "i should have known" she said the change in attitude, the change in demeanor, losing weight, the bags under her eyes, she said  "do you know where she would go if she was upset" Red Hood asked "Cliff falls normally" she said "thank you Mrs. Wilson" Robin said she nodded "please don't harm her whatever she's up whatever she's doing its because of me" she said they all nodded "we'll find her we promise" Nightwing said 

as they were making their way towards Cliff falls they see a shadow coming out of Gotham Museum "its her" Batman said they all nodded "I hope this gets me some money" she said in a broken voice
