I was fourteen and you were years older than me
Fifteen? Sixteen? Seventeen?
That was our first meeting.

I was fifteen and you were a grown man already
You were eighteen
That was the first time my heart started to beat fast.

I was sixteen and you were a college student
You were nineteen
That was the first time I felt something I'm not sure about.

I was seventeen and you were a sophomore of our school
You were in your twenty
That was the first time I confessed to myself the strong feelings.

I was eighteen and it's the time when my age became legal
You were twenty-one and it's your debut also
That was the first time I understood the meaning of love.

I was nineteen and you're still the one I'm dreaming to have
You were twenty-two and you have a girlfriend
That was the first time I had a broken heart.

I was twenty and I was in third year
You were in your last year to become an engineer
That was the first time I tried to stop loving my first love.

I was twenty-one, I graduated as the woman I want to become
You were twenty-four and already successful
That was the first time our world finally met their starting line.

My first times happened annually
Every beginning of our story
Happens once a year only.

At last I was seventy and you were seventy-three
We're old but happy
I am happy for you.

You were just a phase of my life
Just a time to learn
But that lesson keeps teaching me because I still can't understand.

Until I grew alone
While you grow with her
While you grow old with my sister.
