Christmas Day came and she was in for a surprise. We all had lunch in a Royal recreation room Lissa had booked. When present time rolled around I couldn't wait to see my Roza's reaction. I gave her mine last.

"Comrade? Really? I get you a card and you're giving me two boxes?"

"Just open Rose." One was a stake and care kit. The other was a family heirloom. An engagement ring Babushka had sent out over a year and a half ago when I was still trying to trace the girls. I had written "I will always love you. Marry me, Roza" on a note and carefully attached it to the box. She opened the stake first. Gasping when she saw it. "Dimitri. You didn't?"

"I did. I was going to give it to you for your birthday or graduation. I thought better if it, you've earned it."

"Thank you." She moved onto the ring. She read the attachment with glistening eyes. She turned to me and nodded. "Yes. Of course."

"Open it. It's an heirloom."

Another gasp escaped her beautiful lips when she saw the ring.

"What is it Rose?" Lissa pulled us back into the real world. Rose took the ring out and called Lissa to sit on the other side.

"Rose" she breathed "it's stunning". Lissa turned to me "is it what I think it is Guardian Belikov?" Uh oh. I looked at Rose with 'does she know somehow?' In my eyes. She checked the bond and sight before nodding. I turned back to Lissa and nodded, "yes".

"Yay" she hugged my fiancé and squealed. Then the Spanish Inquisition might as well have started from Eddie, Mason and Christian. I was glad Janine hadn't made an appearance. Yet.

"Rose? Belikov? What the hell is going on?!" Mason.

"Yeah you two- what are you hiding?" Eddie.

"Lissa? What are you three so happy about?" Christian naturally sent his girlfriend.

"Guys! What is going on?!" The three boys exclaimed in unison.

"Rose?" I looked at my Roza for the best option. She checked the possible outcomes.

"None of them are good. The best is to pass it around and let them figure it out rather than us telling them." I trusted her judgment.

"Okay."

"Guys. Take a look at this. And try and bite back negative comments and judgement." She got the ring back of Lissa. She put it back in its cushion and taking off the note on the box before sending it around the group.

They visibly held back commentary. Well, until Rose had the ring back.

"Rose?"

"Not yet Mase. Not until you've figured it all out. We're not speaking until I know you all have it worked out, trust me I'll know when you have." Okay, she said that with a little nod to her vision. No one picked up on it.

About 5 minutes later Rose announced; "Liss- you've got it nailed".

"Seriously?"

"Yup! Boys it's your turn. Keep thinking."

"Rose? Are they going to get it? Or do we have to...?" She knew what I was asking.

"Hmmm. At this rate we'll still be here in 5 Christmas' time- with little Evie." Hmm, our daughter had a name already huh? Rose nodded as if reading my question. I raised my brow. That got a real reaction from her.

"Comrade! You know how I feel about that! Stop rubbing it in!"

"Evie?" The others asked.

"My future daughter" Rose responded, with a bit of that other worldly quality.

"Future daughter? Rose? That's not possible." Lissa enquired. "Hang on. How do you know? There's something else going on."

"Yes Liss. It is possible. And, well..." Roza turned to me "how do say it?"

"vrăjitoare."

Lissa gasped in understanding.

"You can see things others can't? The future?"

"Futures- multiple possibilities depending on people's decisions. And the past. I can tell which futures have a fixed quality. Which ones have to play out a certain way."

"What Rose?! No way!" Those disbelieving boys!

The boys still didn't have it figured out by the time we dispersed. I didn't know whether or not to feel relieved or pissed off. It didn't really matter. Roza was my fiancé and that's all I wanted to think about, it made me happy, so, so happy.
