John's PoV

I let out a quiet sigh, glancing over at Ash as we walk into school. I really didn't want to come today, but I couldn't afford to miss anymore days right now. I was falling behind in my classes -again- so I would just have to suck it up. I see familiar white hair, who's name continues to allude me, glaring over at us. Well not really at us, but at Ash. He looked... well the only way to describe the look on his face was salty. If anyone else had seen it you would have thought she cheated on him and stole his dog. Actually she might have stolen his dog, we still don't know where Slate came from.

"John! Pay attention!" Ash shouted, snapping her fingers in my face.

"Gah! Right sorry," I muttered, rubbing the back of my neck. Ash just sighed.

"It's fine, I get it. Brian had to go to his class so it's just me and you," she said and I nodded. "Any chance you wanna skip?" she asked and I rolled my eyes.

"Ash the whole reason we're here right now is because I'm practically failing every class! I don't want to get kicked out so while I would love to skip, we can't," I pointed out and she groaned, dragging her feet. "Oh quit acting like a child." She punched my shoulder as we walked into class. We took out seats in the back. Ash propped her feet up on the desk and leaned back in her chair. Part of me wanted to see her fall. She did. I noticed that white haired guy. I think I'll call him Tom™ for now, just cause he needs some kind of name. I never realized Tom™ was in my class before. Then again I never really paid attention to the other kids in my class - or the class in general. I narrowed my eyes at the back of his head. I looked away before he glanced back at us, that would have been awkward. I looked over at Ash. Oh the look in her eyes... I could practically see the gears turning in her head. She was about to have an idea. I'm convinced she just has a window screen saver icon bouncing around in her head, and you can bet it was about to hit the corner.

"I have an idea." There it is. She successfully had a thought.

Sighing, I mustered up the courage to ask, "And what's your idea?" Please don't tell me.

"Okay so! We should make Arlo jealous," she said with a grin. While the idea did sound satisfying I couldn't help the pang in my heart at the mention of him. However, I was curious.

"How exactly do you propose we do that? He already knows the two of us would never actually be dating," I pointed out. Oh no. She has that look.

"Not me..." I followed her gaze over to Tom™. My eyes widened and I turned to look back at her. I blinked a few times just trying to process what she was suggesting.

"That perv? Really? While a good looking perv, I'm not entirely sure that's a good idea," I said and Ash shrugged.

"I dunno, just an idea. I know as well as you do that not all my ideas are winners," she said with a chuckle. I just shook my head at her. The teacher walked into class and started the lecture. I tried my best to pay attention, but ended up falling asleep a few times. Ash did wake me up, but I still missed several chunks of the notes. It was a boring class anyways.

I hummed softly to myself, leaning against the wall. The hall way was full of people going to their next class and I was just trying to stay out of the way. Ash was in the bathroom and I was waiting for her so we could go to the school library. We both had a free period and I needed all the extra help I could get right now. Her shadow fox was sitting by my leg, watching in case Arlo tried anything. Or Tom™, but I haven't had many problems with him lately. Speaking of, I noticed him watching me just in the corner of my eye. I chuckled to myself and looked down at the fox. Part of me wishes that she could hear through these things. Finally, Ash came out and we started heading to the library. Ash managed to find us a nice little study corner where we would -hopefully- be undisturbed. Apparently Tom™ had entered fully stalker mode because I had watched him follow us all the way over here. Deciding to ignore it, I got Ash to help me with some of the work, as well as get some of the notes I missed. It was going smoothly and I actually started understanding what we were supposed to be doing. Still didn't make much sense but I understood what was meant to happen. Unfortunately, I was starting to get bored. There was still about twenty minuets left of the period and I was beginning to wonder if we could squeeze in a trip to Woba Boba in that time. Ash had just rolled her eyes at me.
