i decided to revive my wattpad to flex on all the straight people who think they know how to write gay men and DEFINITELY DO NOT. and!!! thanks to the feature where youre notified about announcements, g7ddess said they wanted someone to write a story about a human trying to seduce a demon that Physically Cannot Be Seduced, and i heard all about it

i thought this idea would be fucking SICK as hell, so i put my own spin on it and this is the result. its kind of my baby now, so i hope yall enjoy it, and ill get to my actual authors note in a bit, but first i gotta clear up a few things

im not a straight girl writing this to jerk off to dylan o brien and adam lambert dicking each other down. im not even cis!!!!!!

im writing this bc im mlm myself. im a bi nonbinary trans dude, and there isnt really any representation for people like me. even the cis representation (at least on wattpad) is written by and for straight women who fetishize the hell out of everything gay they see and consider caricatures and stereotypes gospel. its really shitty

so!!! i wanted to make this story my own. i wanted to make realistic queer characters that think and act like actual queer people, without playing into offensive stereotypes. i wanted my fellow queers on wattpad to be able to read this and not cringe at the blatant objectification of gay men

that being said, im not trying to imply that enjoying or producing lgbt content as a straight person is wrong or bad. in fact, its very good if you do, bc we always need more allies!!! you just have to be super super careful about doing it more objectively and mindfully

heres a way to see if youre making a gross comment. if the situation were reversed, and a straight man were making this comment about a lesbian couple, would it still be okay to say? or would it be creepy and nasty and disrespectful?

im belaboring the point, but PLEASE think before you speak. im so so so so tired of perfectly good stories being hijacked by authors who dont know how to write respectfully, and readers who encourage the making of that content. if you say something gross, ill drop you a dm and delete the comment!!
