Abe Sapien relationship hcs

- Before you get together he tries to fill the silence when you're alone together, he gets worried that it's awkward, even though it isn't, so he starts sprouting little facts about things you've never even heard of before.

You'll just be standing in a room with him and he starts talking a little too fast about something until he's rambling on about a subject you have no clue on, but you think it's cute and try to follow along the one sided conversation.

- He talked to Liz about his feelings in hope of understanding what he felt and flustered himself just by realizing that yes, he does indeed have a crush.

- Liz thinks it's adorable and so sweet what he said about you.

- Abe learned that his feelings for you were reciprocated by accidentally touching your arm, then felt terrible for invading your private thoughts like that and avoided you for days.

- He tries to be romantic by doing things he has read in romance novels, it hardly ever turns out.

- At times he will recite a piece of poetry that he memorized because it made him think of you or he thought you might like it, he randomly does this unprompted, many times when others are around and now confused at why he's talking in love notes.

Abe can't help it though, he's enamored by you.

- Holding hands is a little uncomfortable but you make due and assure him not to worry when he becomes self conscious about not being able to intertwine fingers like Liz and Hellboy do.

- Casually now has a mint intake like Hellboy does cigars because he doesn't want to have rotten egg breath around you.

- If you were ever to come swimming in his tank? Abe would be happier than words could tell.

- He understands if you don't want to, and would still be very happy if you were to sit on the edge of his tank, feet dangling in or just near the glass the spend more time with him.

- But if you were to ever read to him? Sweet fish boy would melt, entranced by your voice until he's just starring at you.

- If you can't tell by looking at him, Heart Eyes at you all the time.

- Also if you ever wanted to learn how to swim? You now have the most patient, encouraging, and 100% safe teacher.

- Shy for affection. If you just kiss his cheek he wont know what to do with himself and make an excuse of needing to go back in his tank.

- Cuddling is strange at first, he doesn't know where to place any of his limbs and wants you to be comfortable, you'll have to tug him into place and cuddle him correctly, still stiff but he will relax and enjoy it.

- He always does the dishes. You're not actually sure why, but before you were together he would frequently offer to help or do the dishes and now he fully, yet so politely, insists on doing them.

You wont complain about it though.

- Though he isn't the best at comforting, he always knows if you are anxious or emotional because of something and will do his best to help remedy it or simply take your mind off things by talking, and is always ready to listen if you want to talk.

- Wet hugs. Many times he likes to embrace you upon daily greetings or when you've been out but is so happy to see you again he forgets to dry off beforehand. He apologizes profusely every time even though you just laugh.
