Liz Sherman relationship hcs

- Watching from afar. Liz has never been the most upfront about her feelings and has spent most of her life around HB and Abe, so she just catches glances at you. Smiling when she hears you laugh, wishing she had the courage to talk to you when you seem down, noting your little quirks.

- Even though you've undoubtedly heard about her power, and it's not like she can really be mistaken for 'normal' since she goes in on missions, she tries does her best to never let you see her on fire.

- Which is all in vain when she's ticked off one day, sitting on metal bars while completely engulfed in flames. it's only when she feels someone watching her does she look up to see you, staring at her with wide eyes.

- Liz's stomach drops. A lump in her throat suddenly and her flame completely extinguishes. She can't breathe and looses what little hope she had that you would ever like her back, until she catches your quiet voice.

- "You are so amazing."

- You were so stunned when you walked in and finally saw her fire you couldn't help but stare, mesmerized by how she looked and how the flames danced upon her.

- Now she's shocked for a different reason and quickly exits to go mull about her thoughts and how she couldn't have heard you right and to tell Hellboy about it over and over as if the memory would change.

- Hellboy tries to wingman, bless his heart, and just ends up telling you what she likes in bed.

- She just about screams and tries to kill him when she learns about that one.

- Liz tries going to Abe for advice on what to do about her crush no she can't just tell you Abe.

- When she finally exists after that oh so helpful discussion she doesn't expect to find you standing in the entrance hall near her room, holding a bouquet of tiger lilies (you got a heads up from a certain demon that they're her favorites), or to ask if she would like to maybe take a walk to a 24 hour diner you know.

- If she's ever feeling self conscious about her power you're right there to squash her worries and talk about how incredible she is and not to mention, seeing her show off how powerful she is, is very welcomed.

- One time while cuddling you asked Liz if you could see her fire again, she nuzzled her face into your neck and lifted one hand, letting the heat spark to life.

- She looks up after a moment of your silence, heart clenching a little at the enchanted look on your face. "You're really not scared of me?"

- You just grin, squeezing your arms around her a little "Why would I be scared?"

- You're so honest saying that, completely sincere. The smile on her face is as heartwarming as the fire on her palm, she curls closer to you, careful to keep the flames from touching you.

- You grin, arms wrapped around her after a mission, chin resting on the shoulder which is not currently covered in slime. "You are so hot, both forms of literally."

- She elbows you lightly but you catch her lips twitch "You are spending way too much time with HB."

- Speaking of, Hellboy is persistent in wanting to tell you stories of when they were kids, and she frequently sends him through multiple walls before he gets to the good parts.

- Sneak him a beer later, he'll tell you.

- Laying on a couch together just wrapped in each other's arms and taking naps is a wonderful part of being with Liz.

- You have a lot of cats. Well, HB's cats, but they know and love Liz so much that there's always multiple on your room too, since when did he have so many cats.

- Good luck trying to get into bed to cuddle Liz, 9 cats have taken your place since she laid down.

- Lots of soft, lazy kisses while cuddling and just basking in the moment together between missions, a comfortable air surrounding you.

- On cuddles, she is really warm and doesn't sleep in much so you can just wrap around her like a koala and be warm and cozy all night.

- She loves laying her head on your chest and being the little spoon though, especially if you pet her hair.

- You'll never be safe from Hellboy's teasing though, (and sure he's told you in detail exactly what his right hand can do if you were to ever make her sad in any way) but Liz will fight him for you if he keeps it up.

- Loves the domesticities of being in a relationship with you, simple dates on occasion, cooking together, it takes her mind off being an outcast.
