Kagome's View
————
I've been here at Miss Kimiko's palace awhile now. Her training has been difficult, I cannot lie.

Flashback
————

"Kagome, your first part of training is endurance. If you don't have good stamina, you can't defend yourself, or go to the offensive. So this week, you will be running, and doing basic exercises. I want you to do 50 laps around my palace everyday. You may go".

Third Person
————

She was only 3 laps into her training when she started feeling tired. 8 laps in, sweat soaked the entirety of her clothes. By lap 27, she has slowed down considerably, and she thought to herself,

'You know, maybe I should have started out slower'

At lap 38, she was panting really hard, and felt so weighted down.

By the time she finished her running, it was evening. Kagome collapsed from exhaustion, and took a nap where she fell.

————
Present Time
————

Just thinking of when she first started made her want to throw up. Kagome was worked to her body's limit everyday, but she knew it was well worth the cause. Now when she runs those 50 laps, it does not hurt at all.

"Today, after you do your laps and exercises, we will be using the swords again, but this time, we are going out to hunt demons. You will pour your priestess powers into the sword as you go.

————
In the Forest
————

"Miss Kimiko, if we hunt for demons, wouldn't they hide away from us because of your demonic aura?"

"Hmm, I suppose you're right Kagome. I will have to change that."

'Ehh?! She suppressed her aura! Can other demons do that too?' I think to myself.

"Miss Kimiko? I've also been thinking. How do you know so much about priestess powers? I'd never have imagined such a powerful demon would know in depth information about this stuff..."

She looks surprised at the question. After a moment, her face calms, and says "Midoriko."

"What?" I ask.

"When we were younger, Midoriko and I were friends. I know that would be foolish for anyone to consider, Midoriko being friends with a demon, but, when we were children, we always snuck out to play.

When there was trouble, which was often, she would use her priestess powers and I would use mine, so that we would protect each other. Whether it was a demon, Bandit, or just a regular animal, we kept the other safe.

She always explained to me, in great detail, all the things she learned from her trainings, and it was fascinating. The way she talked, with the light in her eyes, why, they burned with such a passion.

Midoriko was the truest and purest of souls, and she was my only friend."

'Whoa... I hadn't expected such a deep answer...'

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a slight movement. Then, all of a sudden bursting out of the trees was a gross looking centipede demon.

"The Jewel. Give me the Sacred Jewel shards!" It shouted.

"No!" Unsheathing my sword, I stand ready. I won't give up the shards. I will protect them with my life.

The demon comes flying at me with great speed. I dodge out of the way quickly, and summon my spiritual powers. Focus on your blade. It is an extension of yourself.

The sword glows with a faint pink aura, and the demon comes rushing at me again. Right before it strikes me, I strike it down, instantly purifying the monster.

"Kagome, you are ready."

Sesshomaru's View
————

The priestess girl has been away for some time now. How has she just disappeared? That night...

————
Flashback
————

Rin wanted to pick flowers or something, when I caught the scent of the half-breeds companion. But along with that, was blood and tears. I had gone to investigate, but why? She's just a filthy human. The sight wasn't really pretty. Her normally groomed self, was all in disarray. Tears were in her clothing, and blood everywhere on her body. Her hair was matted down and tangled.

The smell of tears and blood was almost too unbearable.

That dumb half-breed, what could you have possibly done this time.

————

"Half-breed, what did you do to the priestess." I ask.

"I did nothing. It's none of your business anyways. "

"Hn. She is crying and bloodied up, and as I see that the dead priestess's scent lingers, you emotionally wounded her."

"What?! Did you do anything to Kagome?! I'll kill you!" Inuyasha said, unsheathing Tetsusaiga.

"Hn."

"Wind Scar!"

"Lord Sesshomaru! Look what I have!" Rin exclaims running to him.

Acting swiftly, I pick up Rin and dodge his attack. "Rin. Go find Jaken and stay with him."

"Okay Lord Sesshomaru". She runs off.

Unsheathing Tokijin, I swing at the filthy half-breed. He dies now. How dare he think he has a chance against me, Sesshomaru.

'Barely into the fight and he's wounded. Pathetic.' I think to myself.

We keep swinging at each other until I see the demon slayer throw her Hiraikotsu. I jump back to dodge.

"Inuyasha! Are you alright?" That monk says, rushing over to the half-breed.

"What's wrong with you! Why would you do this to your brother?!" the demon slayer yells.

"Don't call that failure of a demon my brother. He caused the priestess pain, and swung at me when Rin was by. I have my reasons, human. Your priestess friend is injured and in emotional turmoil." I say, as I sheathe my blade and start to walk away, not listening to the humans.

I go back to where the Priestess lay, out of sight, in the same spot she was before. She seems to have been sleeping all this time. I watch her, unmoving. It seems like a moment, when in reality, it was quite awhile, because the sun is coming up. Slowly, I see her awaken, and struggle to get up.

'Hn. Weak humans.'

She limps over to the well, gaining my interest. Slowly, she puts her feet over the sides, and drops in. Her scent disappeared. I walk over to the well, and looked into it, but she's gone.

"Hn."

"Lord Sesshomaru!!!!" Rin says running towards me.

"Rin, lets go." I say, walking away.

————
Present Time
————

'Hn, why am I thinking of this. She's just a weak human. The priestess does not concern Sesshomaru.' I think, forcing her out of my head.

Jaken's View
————

Lord Sesshomaru has been up in the clouds all day with his thoughts. Well, he always is, but right now it's so much worse than normal. I haven't heard him say a word yet today, and it's already evening! I have to do something.

"Umm, Lord Sesshomaru?"

The powerful glare he sent Jaken gave him a shiver down his spine.

'Ack! Never mind! Run away run away!'

"Lord Sesshomaru is fine Master Jaken!" Rin says with a giggle.

"I guess so" I say wearily, I don't wish to die today.

'Yikes... That was a close one...'
