Elizabeth went to work early and checked on the workers. After that she went to the mall to find something fun to do but she was still bored without Anthony. She didn't have a choice but to go home since she couldn't find anything fun to do.
It was late in the afternoon and Elizabeth was walking home alone. Out of nowhere, a motorcycle driving fast hits her and drives away like it was nothing. It seemed like it was on purpose. She was unconsciousness, bleeding and severely injured. She was noticed by a neighbor walk home and was quickly sent to the hospital by an ambulance.
She was checked in the hospital and one day someone decided to pay her a visit. She couldn't open her eyes properly so her vision was a complete blur. She heard a voice
"What do you want me to do to her?"
"Just make sure she stays in the hospital for a month,
Good night Elizabeth"
Before she knew what was going on, she blacked out.
When she woke up, she could see clearly and saw a doctor talking to Anthony. She asked the doctor
"What happened doc?"
"Well, did a nurse give you something unnecessary?"
"Not that I could remember. How long was I asleep"
Anthony says with a worried look
"For a month and a half. The doctor said something was put in your water and you almost overdosed on medicine. I thought I was going to lose you."
Elizabeth replied
"Don't worry I'm ok now."
"I'm never gonna leave you Elizabeth.. Not again."
She smiles at Anthony.
The doctor left the room to give them privacy. Then Maggie comes in all of a sudden and runs to Anthony and asked him what happened. Anthony was shocked
"Maggi, what are you doing here?"
"I heard you were here and I got worried, I thought something happened to you."
Maggie replies while hugging him sweetly
"Can you stop treating me like this, you're not my girlfriend!!"
Maggie gets mad and embarrassed.
"Humph! Well it's kind of late and Elizabeth needs her rest. Let's say good bye. Good night Elizabeth"
Elizabeth stared at Maggie
"It was you! I remember now!. Someone went in this room and gave me something. I remembered your voice because you said the exact same line in the exact same voice!"
Anthony looked down at Maggie and said
"Get out!
Now!"
Maggie snubbed and left like as if she didn't have any fault.
Anthony looked at Elizabeth and asked her
"Do you want me to put her in jail?"
"No Anton, I just want you to stay with me and protect me."
Anthony nodded and smiled at her.
Elizabeth finally checked out of the hospital at the end of the month and Anthony made sure she was always with her.
Anthony's phone rings and he took his time to answer it
"Hello?"
"Hey bro, we're having a reunion. Wanna come??"
"Sure bro, can I bring Elizabeth?"
"Of course!
It's gonna be at my house, today, 6pm and bring some DVDs if you have any new ones,"
"Ok Mark, see you."
Elizabeth and Anthony went to the party and saw Maggie there.
Maggie went to them and said
"Hey Anthony, why don't you hang out with Mark and have boys time and I'll have girl time with Elizabeth?"
Anthony smiled
"That's a good idea!"
Anthony went to Mark and left Elizabeth.
He told Elizabeth before he left her
"Call if anything happens ok?"
Elizabeth nodded but she was worried cos she knew that Maggie was trying to get rid of her. As soon as Anthony left, Maggie grabs Elizabeth by the arm and says
"You better stay away from Anthony! He's mine. If I see you trying to take him away from me again I will get rid of you permanently!"
Elizabeth was scared and didn't know what to say. She just looked at her and nodded. Maggie was so angry that she took Elizabeth's bag and emptied it then she threw it in the floor and said
"Pick it up yourself"
Then she walked away..
Anthony saw Elizabeth picking her things up from the floor and asked what happened.
"Maggie told me to stay away from you, or else she'll get rid of me permanently."
"She really said that elly?"
Elizabeth looked down as she finish grabbing everything. Anthony left Elizabeth and looked for Maggie. He sees her by the wall holding a drink and talking to some people. Anthony walks straight up to her, pushed her against the wall and said
"Don't harass my girlfriend! I don't like you, so don't expect anything from me! I thought you were a reliable friend but you're just a spoiled brat!"
He walks away without having to hear what she has to say. He went to Elizabeth and told her that he would send her home. They left the party and Anthony apologized
"Elly, I'm really sorry if she's a pshyco killer. I didn't know she was like that..
I thought she was a true friend."
"It's ok Anton, it's not your fault"
Anthony starts whispering in her ear and she smiles then looks at him.
Anthony stayed in Elizabeth's house for the night to make sure Maggie doesn't barge in her place with a group of assassins.
When Elizabeth woke up, she found her bags packed and breakfast ready. She sat down to eat and asked
" what time is the flight?"
"12pm "
She just smiles while eating the breakfast and Anthony called a taxi while she prepared. Everything was in perfect timing, they left for the airport with a one way trip ticket to the US. They got on the plane and ran away from everything they had in Manila.
