Sparkle in her dreams

Teal and brown

So close, yet so far
Those brown eyes
Gleam in his dreams
Full of possibility
Full of longing
Full of imagination
Full of determination
When will it finally happen?
Oh, world, why must we wait
We impatient beings need to know
What happens next
Why does it end there?
We've waited for so long
Just a few more days
Slowly the clock ticks
Slowly the world moves
Too slowly
Oh, books, why are you so good?
I could read you all day long
I need more!
