Patricia informed me that the boys were going out to a basketball game tonight so I had the dorm to myself. Once I got back to the dorm I considered scratching the whole plan and just going to sleep but a few texts from Patricia later, I decided to go ahead with it.
I changed into what I had bought today and fixed up my hair. I was standing on front of my desk swiping through Instagram trying to decide whether or not I was going go through with this when my decision was made for me
"Wow"
I turned around to see Grayson walking towards me a smirk on his face "Well this is a nice surprise" he stands on front of me putting his hand on my waist
"Did ye win?" I ask, my voice low as I lean up towards him
His smirk widens "oh I definitely won" he smashes our lips together
Grayson hoisted me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist and it didn't take long before we were once again tangled up in his sheets
"Morning baby" Grayson wraps his arm around my waist pulling me closer
I turn around and look up at him, a smile on my face "Morning"
"I have some assignments i need to catch up on but meet me here at 7 tonight?" Grayson nuzzled his face into the side of my neck
"Sounds like a plan"
Grayson got ready for his day, while I lay in bed scrolling through my Instagram feed. Once I was finished going through all my social media and Grayson had left I decided I better get up.
I ate some breakfast, had a shower and done my beauty routine before throwing on some comfortable clothes.
I tied my hair into a high ponytail and went makeup free before grabbing my bag that I use for lectures and heading to the library.
I took a seat at one of the tables in the corner hoping that not having my bed and computer would actually motivate me to do some class work
The time flew by with the amount of work I had missed out on or purposely not done, so I ended up spending my day in the library
I got back to be dorm at exactly seven and when I walked in, Grayson wasn't there
"Grayson?" I questioned
But he wasn't there
I walked to my bed ready to jump on it when I seen a pink flash card on it
Look in your wardrobe ;)
I walked over to my wardrobe and when I opened it I seen a beautiful orange barely there one piece
I smiled when I noticed how he bought me one that matched my nails
My smile grew bigger when I seen the note attached to the side
Meet me at the beach ;)
I quickly changed into the one piece and put my hair into a tight bun

I put on an oversized tshirt for the car but once I got there I took it off before I got out of the car. The beach was empty which was surprising seen as it was a really warm night and the sun had yet to set
I couldn't keep the smile off of my face when I walked onto the steps that led you to the beach when I seen a message spelt out in candles on the sand
Will you be my girlfriend?
I looked over to see Grayson standing beside them wearing some swim shorts a nervous look plastered across his face
"Yes" I shout and Grayson looks up just as I've ran down the bottom step. His nervous smile turns into a grin when he sees me running towards him
I jump into his arms wrapping my arms around his neck and legs around his waist while he hoists me up
I connect our lips, the grin never leaving my face
"I thought you'd never ask" I say between kisses
A picnic blanket catches my eye and I look over to see that Grayson has a picnic set out beside us
"When did you become so nice?" I grin at him
"It won't last long don't worry baby" he smirks at me
We sat down across from each other eating the countless treats Grayson had set out for us
"How long did this take you?"
"Let's just say I didn't get any study done today"
"And How is the beach empty every time I pass here it's booming?"
"I have my connections" he winks
We keep eye contact for a few seconds longer than usual
"Thank you"
"Only for you princess"
"So what are we gonna do to remember the first day of our future together?" I grin
"I've got an idea" Grayson smirks "follow me"
So I do. We walk down the beach walk which is surrounded by many different tourist shops
"Tattoo's, Grayson really?" I look up at my boyfriends a skeptical look on my face
"You trust me?"
I nod
"Then let's do it"
"What can I get you guys?" The tattooist begins the desk asks
We look at each other with stupid grins on our faces
"A lock and key"
"Perfect" she smiles "right this way"
"I can't believe we got matching tattoos" I laugh once we leave the parlour
Grayson smiles at me and takes something out of his pocket
"When I thought I'd lost you Emma, it was the worst feeling in the world. It took everything in me to keep going, to hold on to the hope that I could still save you and I couldn't be happier I did" Grayson says fiddling with the item in his hand "I guess what I'm trying to say is now that I have you I don't plan on ever losing you again"
"With that being said" he opens his hand to show me a ring "accept my promise ring?"
My eyes start to fill with water at this point
"Grayson William Ryder, since the day I met you, you were an hot egotistical pain in the ass but you were also the boy that I looked forward to seeing every day and the boy I would wait up for the make sure he came back to me every time" he smiles at my revelations "the boy who had so much control over me without even knowing it"
"The boy I'm happy to say I love. So of course I'm happy to accept your promise ring"
"You love me?"
"Of course I do"
"I love you too"
And with them three words I had everything I ever needed
