Phillip's Pov

It took a while.

Most likely around 15 minutes for me to be shoved and pushed through narrow hallways. Giving me time to reflect upon how idiotic both Lizzy and myself have been about this. No. How idiotic  I have been about this.

Lillia kept rambling about how Lizzy was so naïve to believe that she could rescue me. But I cut her voice. I know she didn't intend on rescuing me, she came to suffer the same fate as I do. If Lizzy intended to rescue me, she would have thought it though; she would have brought others. She would not have burst into here alone.

I was forced into a musty room, what i could only assume to be an old wine cellar,  by Lillia Griffin. There was no light whatsoever, causing the room to be both dark and dank.  Which allowed for me to be left in the total darkness. Only the small light from outside the room that illuminated the girl's face. Lillia simply smiled at me before she spoke, ensuring that she remained in the doorway.

The echoing bang of a slammed door from further away had yet to die before there was a terrible, drawn out scream from above them.

"Guess she refused Miss Lind's offer. Let's hope you wont make the same mistake." Lillia said with a smirk as she went to bolt the door shut.

I felt my feet scramble from underneath me as I raced towards the door trying to unlock it. Trying to cause the door to unlock itself. I knew it was of no use as I couldn't do much with bound hand but I had to try. Another terrible scream was followed by me banging up against the door and yelling out for Elizabeth. Just hoping there was a slither of a chance that she may hear me.

"Phillip?" came a whisper through the darkness followed by a small light, an oil lamp. "Is that you?"

The light wasn't strong enough for me to create an image but there was sound of movement close by them. I could see the person moving closer into my line of sight.

"Cassandra?"

"Yes, it's me! Oh no. I didn't want you to be caught." Horror rippled across her face as she figured out who was screaming above.

"Cassandra, can you help us get these ropes off?" I said.

"Oh yes, I expect so." She rummaged through her pockets "I found an old nail and we use it if we need to break anything."  Cassandra took out the nail and slowly began sawing into the rope. I could feel her digging at the ropes tough fibres to work the knots free. From upstairs, Elizabeth's screams echoed off the walls and penetrated the floors, causing me to finch.

"It will go away soon. They only do it for a short while. Painful but only short. They've been doing it so one of us will break and let them know what they want to know." Cassandra whispered.

She brought the light up to her face so she could see how far she had cut into the rope. Cassandra was all eyes in her white, pale face.

"I'm sorry, but you said we? I enquired causing, Cassandra to momentarily pause from her sawing.

"Yes. Myself and Mr. Thomas over there. We came in together. They found me then they found him."

A man stubbled forward, hurt obviously.  Just enough into the light for me to make out his silhouette. It wasn't very hard for the man who stood there, I had known for a very long time.  Being  the cuts and bruises and dirt, there stood Mr. Thomas Carter.
