The amulet started to vibrate on One Eye's neck. He looked down at it. He wondered if it could talk so he said fiercely, "What do you need?" The amulet replied with, "Turn left then right." The more he moved, the more the amulet gave him directions. As he was walking down a cliff side, the amulet said, "Stop, read that note to your left." One Eye unfolded it as it read:

     Dear,

My traveler.

I have come to tell you my story. It all began hundreds of years ago when a human shop owner wanted to start a business. He collected gems and piled them up so he could enchant them. He carefully put the gems in glass casings for safety and sealed them up. He tied them up with thread and called them amulets. I am the amulet currently on your neck. Our power is very strong. We can go beyond your imagination. If I wanted, I could fly off your neck and find someone else. I used to be another wolves amulet, but the pack was cruel. Us amulets believe in trust and forgiveness. I purposely untied and fell off his neck. I want the best for you, so I am here now.

From,

The amulet currently on your neck.

One Eye stared at the note in disbelief, but then his ideas tied together. His pack was cruel. He now believed in trust and forgiveness. He wanted to keep his amulet with no one knowing. He asked, "Can you go invisible." Suddenly, the amulet disappeared and reappeared. Then One Eye commanded, "Do that when I am around other wolves."
