I'm Scared .. (EXO BAEKHYUN & CHANYEOL)

Chapter 10

I was standing in front of ChanYeol's apartment. My heart was beating and I was a little nervous. I ring the doorbell with sweaty hands and wait for ChanYeol to open the door.

The door beeps and ChanYeol opens the door. Just like any other day, he smiles and invites me in.

"Welcome."

"Thanks."

ChanYeol steps aside so that I had enough space to walk in. I pass him and take my shoes off before stepping into the living room. I wait for ChanYeol as he closes the door and leads me to where the couches were.

"You can have a seat. Do you want anything to drink ? Water, juice, coffee, anything ?" he asks.

"Water's good."

"Okay," he says as he walk into to the kitchen.

I sat down on his couch and looked around the house while waiting for him. It didn't take ChanYeol that long to come back with 2 glasses of water. He hands me one as he sits down next to me. I take the glass from him and take a little gulp to quench my thirst.

"Are you comfortable ..?" he asks.

I knew he was asking if I trusted him enough to tell him.

"Not 100%, but I think we became really close, so I just want to say it."

Of course I wasn't 100% comfortable about this. I feel really bad for doing this to him, and even though I do tell him, I don't know how he's going to react. He might not want to talk to me again. We might not be friends anymore. If I don't have him even after I tell him about me, then what will happen to me ..? These are things that are holding me back from completely trusting him.

"Okay, then tell me. I'll listen," he says with a sweet and assuring smile.

Although I don't know if  I can fully depend on him, but I still need to tell him. I don't have much of a choice or even time, do I ..?

"I don't know where to start .." I said.

"From the beginning..." he says.

From the beginning ...

"Other than my parents, I have 2 people in my life that I cherish the most with all my heart..."

I told him.. From the beginning up to the present.. It must've been a little overwhelming for ChanYeol to digest all these things. I wanted him to think it over before he said anything else. But ChanYeol, I need you.. I really need you.. So I really hope you wouldn't leave me and stay by me.... Please ...

"I have to leave .." I said as I got up.

ChanYeol was deep in his thoughts but came to his sense when I got up from my seat and told him I was leaving.

"I'll walk you home," he says as he gets up as well.

"No, it's okay."

"I'll walk you home."

It was the first time ChanYeol had that tone of voice. It was firm and demanding. I didn't want to cause too much trouble so I just kept my mouth shut and did as he said. We came out of ChanYeol's apartment and started heading for my house where BaekHyun was waiting.

Both of us were really silent as we walked. It didn't take long for us to reach my house.

"Thanks, you should hurry and go home and get some rest," I told him.

ChanYeol didn't look up. All he did was look at the ground. Because he didn't say anything, I turned around to go inside the gates but he stops me by grabbing my wrist really lightly.

"ㅇㅇ ..."

I slowly turned back around and forced myself to look at him. He was looking at me with eyes that were about to cry.

"Can't you reconsider ...?" he asks.

...... I can't ......

I can't, ChanYeol .....

If I do, it's going to hurt me even more ....

"Please .... This .... This is too much ...." he continues.

I see the tears swelling up in his eyes. I've never seen him like this.. He was always smiling and happy.. I made such a happy person cry.. ㅇㅇ, you're the worst... If someone is even a little precious to you, you just have to give them pain and suffering...

"ㅇㅇ... Please ..." he begs.

The tears that were swelling up were now falling down his face, drop by drop. I raised my hand to his face and placed it against his cheeks. I gently wiped the tears that were flowing down his face.

"Ha ....." he sighs.

 ChanYeol lifted one of his hands and placed it on top of mine, then he closes his eyes.

"Aren't you scared ...?" he asks.

"I'm scared ..."

He slowly opens his eyes to my reply and gave me the most painful face expression. He then takes his hand off of mine and pulls me in for a hug.

"It's going to be hard ..." he sighs.

"... Yea ..."

"I might even get tired of it sometimes ..."

"... Yea ..."

"ㅇㅇ .."

"... Hmm ...?"

"... I'll be by your side ..."
