james and draal questioned my dad for an hour. my mom started to come back to her senses but she still was confused and a little scared of draal.
"I came here on a mission... but I met jades mother and I fell in love, so I threw the mission and had a family" my dad says
"why didn't you tell me?" my mom asks sounding hurt
"I was scared you wouldn't accept me.." he said not looking at her
"I love you for who you are not what you are" my mother says letting my dad relax and smile
"I love you too" he says smiling at her
we end the discussion but draal says that hes going to to be keeping an eye on on him and my family.
draal goes back down to james basement. making us all visibly relax
"sorry about him, hes just very errr" james says trying to apologize
"extreme?" I offer him
"yea and rude" tobis says
I nod agreeing
"so you guys must want to sit and talk as a family?" james says
"yes that would me great, well then I suppose we should get going" my mom says
my mom and dad head to the car well I stay back to talk to james
"im sorry about the mess" I tell him
"are you ok?" james asks me
"what yea im fine why?" I ask
"well ummm you just found out about your dad being a... a changeling" james says trying not to offend me
"yea im fine, shocked but fine, and I do believe hes telling the truth..." I trail off realizing something
"does that mean im one?" I ask him
"oh um im not sure... I mean your moms human" james offers
"I guess ill find out" I say
james nods and walks me to the door.
"ill see you... soon?" I say
"ah yea of course, at school?" james says
"sure" I smile and head to the car.
a while has passed and Draal really did watch my family like 75% of the time, it annoyed me. my mom didn't seem to notice, my dad did notice and offered him food, like socks.
I was weirded out but I knew it wasn't something I should be super amazed about.
I was back at school and many students that I had never talked to before were now treating me like a princess, even the teachers were being extra nice. they let me skip whatever I had missed and continue on with everyone else.
James and I hung out a lot, at lunch we'd go to troll market which was in bad shape, and he'd show me and teach me things about the trolls, and other creatures I hadn't known were real.
Claire didn't seem to like me at all, which I didn't care. Tobi was a lil to much for me, but I still considered him a friend.
everything was different, the people in the town always asked if I was alright, or they gave me free things.
I was weirded out with it, with everything. I had grown use to the darklands.
training everyday, getting my own food.
I was always on guard scared i'd be dragged back there to rot.
and as planned each night I went out to see if Gunnmar had escaped but there weren't any signs.
until one night I ran into one of his stone guards, which lead me to him.
he was in a cave with many others, that I was sure he made when he got here.
"Father" I said as I kneeled down to him
"ah I knew you wouldn't fail me..." he says smirking
"I have friended the trollhunter, and I am ready to attack" I tell him
"good, we'll begin soon. kill him tonight" he says
I feel myself tense "of course... shall I bring him to you?" I ask him
"yes I want to kill him myself" he says angered
"of course, I'll bring him to you" I tell him
"leave, and come back with him" he says
I nod and leave walking, but as soon as im out of sight I sprint. scared for myself.
im about to head to my house but I remember I was suppose to take james to Him...
I slow down and take my time to get there, wondering what I was going to say.
'should I really betray james or Gunnmar? if I betray gunnmar and he wins he'll have me killed, if I betray James he'll never talk to me again, either because he's dead or because I betrayed him' I stop walking and sit down on the sidewalk bringing my knees to my face
groaning, I start to cry.
I miss my troll dad, thinking that I'd never see him again hurt me.
he was so good to me, he was a better dad then my actual dad... he was there, he was always there unlike my real dad that traveled 24/7. always on the road, sometimes with my mom but since my brother was born she stayed home.
"Jade?" I heard a voice say
"oh hey Eli" I say recognizing the small nerdy teen from school, he was wearing a helmet and had some things strapped across his bag strap
"what are you doing out this late?" he asks
"oh ummm,... what time is it?" I ask him
"its almost 11PM" He tells me looking at his watch
"I just went out for a walk, didn't realize its been this long" I told him
"ha it seems like it was more of a sitting than a walk" he says with a laugh
I look at him weirded out with his personality.
"uh sorry... well I uh better get back to ummm walking my dog" he says
"what dog?" I ask
"PepperJack did you find that goblin?" I heard steves loud voice shout from behind Eli
"um what goblin steve" eli says sounding annoyed
"you know the one we've been tracking for the past hour" steve says sounding closer
"uh he means my dog" eli says laughing nervously
"who are you talking to?" steve says now standing beside eli
"oh hey jade... ummm I wasn't talking about a goblin I er meant my cat" steve says
I stare at the 2 idiots as they argue
"you guys" I say not amused
"we have got to find Pepperjacks dog" steve says while Eli says " uh sorry jade we have to find steve's cat"
they look at each other
I turn my head at a bush and see a goblin, probably the one they've been looking for
"guys..." I say pretending to sound scared
they look at me and follow my gaze
"don't worry Jade we got this, just get out of here" eli says with his voice cracking
"we'll talk tomorrow" steve says as they chase after the goblin
I sigh and stand from the ground now on my way to james house
during that talk with eli and steve I decided I was going to tell james the truth... I just hoped he'd believe me and let me be his friend,
sorry I haven't been updating, I was camping... I still am
anyways I'll try to update more, tbh idek if people are reading this.
