"B-But- what if my real parents could've given me a good life as well?"
"Well we don't know that."
"I want to meet them. Would my dads let me?"
"I don't know you'd have to ask them but I'm sure they would. But just remember no matter what you do about this I support and love you."

I laugh a little and notice it's getting late
"Hey I'm sorry but it's getting really late and I'm tired. Again I love and support whatever decision you make and no matter what I'll always be on your side"

We hang up and I go to bed.
I already knew he was adopted but hearing him say it in such a sad way breaks my heart.

It's the next morning and I get ready for school
After getting ready I wait for Corbyn to pick me up like he does everyday

Oh no he's really upset. Normally every morning when he texts me that he's here he tells me he loves me and a whole bunch of unnecessary stuff and only when somethings bothering him does he do that
I get my backpack and walk out to Corbyn's car
I get in and as soon as I see him I know he's been crying all night
"Hey" I quietly say
"Put your seatbelt on please"
It's really bad if he won't even look at me
I put my seatbelt on and grab for his hand
He lets me take it and I gently kiss it
"I love you" I tell him
"Love you too"
"Hey don't be upset"
"I'm not"
"Corbyn I know you are"
"I-it's just hard. Imagine your whole life being a lie. All this time I thought they were my real parents and they aren't"
"I'm sorry. I know it's hard"
"I just wish i knew earlier ya know. Like maybe they could've saw me graduate and all that but nope"
"Well still you have your dads and they love you so much."
"I know but what if my real parents love me the same or more"
"I don't know then Corbyn but still just be grateful that you have Jonah and Daniel as your dads. You could've gotten really bad parents but you didn't"

"Yeah. Thank you so much for saying all that. That makes me feel so much better about this" he kisses my cheek and we pull into school
"Ugh I don't want to go in" I whine

"I'll be here right after the bell rings"
"Okay" I give him a final kiss and leave his car
"Have a great day baby!!!" He yells causing me to laugh and blush
I wave goodbye and walk into the school
