"Leave her"
He grabs her arms but she is strong for a woman with her size.
The faces are blurred mixing together, but their emotions are quite clear & if I'm being honest, quite frightening too.
Grief
Anger
No, Rage is pouring out of her eyes soaking the little girl whose neck is between her grip from head to toe.
The little girl is shocked.
Sad
No, she is petrified & almost unconscious when her father succeeds in freeing her from her mother's grip at last.
"I said let her go"
He says forcefully with his sweat stained shirt & shaking hands, this situation has left its mark on him.
He is angry too.
No, that is not anger, it's defeat.
He seems broken.
"Stop this"
He hugs the little girl & keeps repeating
"it's ok, it's gonna be ok"
OH god, it hurts so much to lie, he thinks.
I jolt awake or wait was I even sleeping ?
No, I don't dream & if I do, I don't remember them.
Not due to my lack of imagination or something, quite the opposite actually but this talk is for another day.Anyway, what was that ?
Oh! It must be a scene from that freaking soap opera they keep making us watch during lunch, and by 'they' I mean the nurses and by 'nurses' I mean Nurse Betty & Nurse Jacline. It has to be that.
Right?
