word count: 714 wordsit had been a while; 3 years to be exact, since wooyoung felt that weird mix of excitement and anticipation, with his heart beating rapidly — almost skipping a beat. exactly like when he saw you for the first time in his life. he thought he wouldn't feel anything if he ever saw you again, but seeing you again brought back some feelings he hadn't felt in so long. he'd be lying to himself if he denied his feelings towards you.
you were his first love ever since high school; he was deeply in love with you and the two of you had a great relationship but unfortunately you broke up due to you traveling abroad for university and him becoming an idol. he thought he'd be able to forget about you and move on, but he didn't. he was still in love with you.
he silently watched you from a distance, contemplating whether he should go and talk to you or not. he was quite scared that you might've forgotten about him, or you perhaps didn't want to see him. but then again, he wanted to see you, to talk to you and tell you that he still had feelings for you. a conflict had grown inside him and it got stronger with each minute passing by.
after contemplating for almost too long, wooyoung finally decided to gather enough courage and just go talk to you. it wouldn't be that hard, right? he thought to himself. in slow steps, he anxiously walked his way to you.
you felt a light tap on your shoulder and turned around only to see none other than wooyoung. he looked the same as wooyoung from high school, his face was exactly the same. you were flustered to see him again after so long.
"it's been a long time, y/n.." he slowly said, you chuckled. remembering all the times you had together, looking back at that they were the best times. you felt butterflies all over your stomach, just like the first time. your feelings for him had never changed, even after all these years. you thought you'd forget him by time. however, your feelings for him were too strong to be forgotten. you tried moving on several times, but all your tries went to vain.
and then there was an awkward silence between the two of you. it was obvious that both of you had so much to say, yet you were tongue tied. a heavy sigh escaped from wooyoung's lips before finally deciding to speak.
"i.. i missed you. so much." his voice trailed at the end. you deeply looked into his eyes, his eyes had the same spark it had when you first saw him. you could tell that the way he looked at you had never changed. your lips curled into a smile as a blush made its way to your face.
"i missed you too, wooyoung." you softly said, just then you felt wooyoung's lips were on top of yours. it was a brief kiss, yet it was so passionate. you missed the taste of his sweet lips that was still the same as you remembered. he managed to make you fall for him all over again.
"i-i'm so sorry i didn't mean to-" you didn't even hesitate about kissing him again, this time you wrapped your hands tightly around his neck to deepen the kiss with his hands resting just a little bit above your hips. you immediately leaned into his touch.
you didn't want it to end, but unfortunately the two of you needed some air. you broke the kiss, looking at each other's eyes.
"i still love you, y/n. i've never stopped loving you, not even for a minute. you're the love of my life." wooyoung sweetly whispered, his lips are still brushing against yours. you saw a beautiful shade of red on wooyoung's cheeks, perfectly complementing his honey skin.
"me too, wooyoung. i've always loved you and i'll always love you." you finally said before wrapping your arms around him, tightly hugging him. you could feel him smiling against your back, placing soft kisses on your neck. he stared at you, cupping your face in his soft hands.
"i promise i'll never let you go ever again."
