Chloe Jensen didn't have a clue what was going on around her.
And they all wanted to keep it that way.

"I made the team," Scott's voice took Chloe's focus away from her laptop. She gave him a smile as he sat down across from her, happily putting the homework she was working on on hold.
"Good job," she congratulates. "You know I knew you'd make it."
"Thanks for the boost," he chuckles, placing his tray of food down and taking a seat across from her. "Met a few guys, too. I'm getting my letterman jacket next week."
"And then you'll be a real jock," Chloe concludes, to which he measly shrugs at. She opens her mouth to speak when a random arm is abruptly thrown over her shoulder.
Her eyes widen and she looks up to see Montgomery, whose suspension had recently ended.
"Hey, Clover," he greets while his gaze is kept on Scott. Chloe squirms out from beneath his arm, nodding at him in response. "You must be Scott."
"Hey," Scott greets.
"I'm Montgomery."
"Monty's on the baseball team with you," Chloe tells Scott.
"Heard you were good," Monty insinuated.
"Really?" The small smile on his lips made Chloe do so, as well.
"Yo," Justin hooted as he and Zach took seats at the table as well. They seemed to always be with one another lately.
"Hey, Scott," Zach pats Scott on the back before opening his carton of juice.
"What are you working on?" Montgomery asks as he pulls her laptop towards him.
"Homework," she closes it and slides the device back in front of her. "Something you should be catching up on after that suspension."
"No need for the reminder," he huffs, slouching in his seat.
"You were suspended?" Scott asks.
"Mhm," Montgomery nods.
"For being an idiot," Chloe clarifies.
"He was asking for it - totally blew everything out of proportion," Montgomery threw his hands into the air.
"Are there a lot of fights here?" Scott slightly cocks his head to the side.
"Nah, not really," Zach takes a bite into his sandwich.
"We're a drama free school," Chloe blandly says, a few seconds of silence passing before Montgomery, Zach and Justin let out scoff-like laughs at the blatant lie.
