When You Wish Upon a Star... Nothing Happens

I sat there, curled up in a ball as I began watching Naruto... again. The knuckle-head ninja himself appeared on the screen and a grin spread across my face. I tugged the blanket closer to my body as I intensely watched the fight between Naruto and Mizuki.

"That snaKE!!" I whisper-yelled, already angry. "How dare he insult my sunshine. He deserves everything, especially after what those horrible human trashcans did to him!"

Yeah... I get just a little bit defensive. 

"IF YOU EVER LAY A FINGER ON IRUKA-SENSEI AGAIN, I'LL KILL YOU!" I said, amazingly in sync with the anime. I smiled. Being there would be so much better than being here. I grinned at Mizuki's defeat and teared up at the touching moment when Naruto finally graduated. 

I looked out my window as the ending theme played, spotting a star I giggled quietly to myself. I closed my eyes and silently made a wish but my heart was heavy- I've wished far too many times for things to change. I've wished for a place where B/n could be safe. Where a five year old didn't have to grow up so fast- and neither did a y/a (your age) year old. "When you wish a upon a star, nothing happens." I whispered sadly, opening my bleary eyes. The yelling downstairs hadn't finished yet. I put the volume up louder on my headphones and began the next episode. 

I hummed along softly to the theme, smiling instantly. Only anime makes me this happy- that, music, and my little bro. I glanced at him, fast asleep. 'good' I thought, 'he shouldn't have to hear it.' 

I continued watching up until the chuunin exams when my eyes started drooping. 'I'll go to bed now' I thought sleepily. 'My dreams are always better than my reality.'

~ B/n p.o.v (Your little bro's p.o.v)~

I opened my eyes, still sleepy. But I couldn't go to bed before- I was only pretending- so instead I secretly imagined I was a ninja like in Y/n's anime and I had super cool powers! I looked over at my Onee-chan and smiled. But, my smile dropped into a frown when I saw the tears on their face. 'Why is Y/n crying...? Is it because mummy and daddy don't love each other anymore?' I tip-toed up to the window. 'Onee-chan was looking out here before... Oh is that a star! I remember Onee-chan once said that if you wish upon a star, it'll come true!' I closed my eyes and wished harder than I've ever wished before.

"I wish that all of Y/n's dreams would come true! I wish that they will never cry ever again because they always tells me not to cry. I wish we could go somewhere far away, with no angry daddy and no angry mummy. I wish... I wish... I wish for them to be happy."  I whispered.

Tears came down my cheeks. 'Please come true.' I thought before I went back to bed- this time curled up next to Y/n- the bestest person in the whole wide world.
