She already have the feeling that Alejandro will turn down her invitation but it was still hurt when she hear it directly from him. On the other hand, naiintindihan niya rin naman, ano pa bang dapat niyang asahan sa binata? Dapat nga mas magulat pa siya kung pumayag ito.

"Ano? anong sabi Alexis?" excited naman na tanong ng kaibigan. Ena feels like she was the damsel in distress saved by her knight in shining armour.

"A simple thank you will do, pakisabi kay Ena she don't have to invite me for dinner. I have to go meron ka pang sasabihin?" she narrated changing her voice into that of a cocky sounding guy probably trying to imitate Alejandro voice.

"Ano ba yan!" Ena pouted disappointedly. "Sige invite mo na lang 'yong team niya baka naman isipin ni Inspector hindi na natin itutuloy porke hindi s'ya makakarating. Invite mo na lang 'yong team n'ya kahit wala naman silang naitulong."

"Gaga!"

"Eh wala naman talaga silang ginawa si Inspector lang," Ena said and twinkled her eyes.

"So feeling mo naman knight in shining armour mo s'ya? Ena he's just doing his job 'wag ka mangarap!" sabi niya at nagtalukbong ng kumot. Pareho silang pagod ni Ena kaya naman maaga silang nahiga.

"Selos ka naman?" Nakapalabing tanong nito sa kanya.

"Tsk!"

Nagpatuloy sila sa pag-aasaran hanggang makatulog sila.

ALEJANDRO
Weeks passed and it was all good for them. There's a few cases reported to their office but there are none serious cases compared to the cases they dealing in the pass few days. Pagnanakaw, awayan ng mga bata, at physical injury lang naman ang nae-encounter nila ngayon.

Alejandro was in front of his desk busy solving puzzle pieces on his table. Dahil nga wala siyang magawa at inabala niya ang pagbuo ng puzzle na ilang ulit na niyang nabuo at sinisira para ayusin lang ulit. Yes,he also find it weird.

"Inspector, pinapatawag ka ni Chief," Ivan, came to his office and informed him. He lift his head and looked at Ivan with a bored look. Niligpit niya ang puzzle at isinilid sa drawer. Ngayon may gagawin na siya, hindi na niya kakailanganin pa ang puzzle na iyon.

He marched to the Chief's office. He was about to knock on the door but it was slightly open so he decided to come in.

Chief Asaytuno was seating on his desk. Nasa harap nito si Tobby, the two was so busy with the topic they're discussing, the two did not notice that he already came.

He let out a fake a cough to get the Chief's attention.

"Garcia, n'andito ka na pala, please have a seat," he succeeded to steal Chief Asaytuno's attention from Tobby.

Kinuha niya ang isang nakakalat na swivel chair at nilagay sa harap ng mesa ng Hepe. Naupo siya roon kaharap si Tobby.

"Inspector Santiago said that he have a lead where De Vega's hiding."

He knotted his forehead and look at Tobby with disbelief. No one can blame him, Tobby is not reliable source after all.

"I'm not making story here, isa pa hindi mo naman kailangang maniwala sa'kin," mukhang nahalata naman nito na hindi siya naniniwala.

"Santiago stop being a childish, sige na ituloy mo na ang kwento mo habang nakikinig si Garcia."

Tobby was hesitant to talk, knowing that he's listening. But he left no choice, it was Chief Asaytuno's order.
