I'm in the kitchen having a reggae concert to 'Warning Signs' by Born Jamericans as I add the curry seasoning to the large pot before adding pieces of cut up chicken
As I started mixing it I heard loud banging on the door I then sped walked towards the door with my eyebrows furrowed
I slid open the peep hole and yelled out in aggravation
"WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM?!?" I looked to see the face of my best friend since 3rd grade that I haven't seen in over 2 months due to him being part of the biggest hiphop group right now with the goofiest smile on his face
"WASSUP NIGGAA" He shouted back with the biggest smile which made me do the same
"OH SHIT CLIFF WASSUP" I yelled cheerfully
"Open the door yo" he said then I let out the goofiest chuckle
I unlocked the door then opened it to see Cliff with the cutest smile on his face
"Wassup Mamas" He said as we rocked side to side while he hugged me
"What are you doing here, since when the M-E-T-H-O-D Man come back to Shaolin?" I asked with a smirk as he released me from his embrace
"Last night but as soon as I came back I knew I had to see my homegirl" he said before playfully nudging me and sat down on the couch then I blushed and walked in the kitchen to check on the chicken
"Aw shit what you cooking it smell good as hell" he asked as he watched me stir up the chicken in admiration
"Some curry chicken" I said with a small smile
"Indian or Jamaican" he asked with a skeptical look on his face
"Jamaican" I said with a smile as I gave him a side eye before walking to the fridge to get a beer
I then walked up to him and handed him one
"Thank you very much" he said before walking to the living room and sitting on the couch then I turned off the stove and did the same
"So how've you and Shy been" he asked in reference to my little brother Shyheim
"I've been aight but Shy's been acting out" I said as I shook my head
