It is with tremendous sadness that I write you this letter. You see, I had a family problem and am now living on my own. Due to this sole reason, I cannot afford to go back to University.

However, if there is anything you can do or find that could help me, I'm all ears. Otherwise, it was a great pleasure being your student.
