Sky's POV (Wednesday)

I was walking to History. I was late because I was talking with one of my teachers. On my way, I bumped into someone, a girl. I didn't recognise her.

"Oh I'm so sorry. I'm so clumsy sometimes."

"It's alright. Are you by any chance on your way to history, Miss. Garcia?"

"Actually yes. Do you want to walk with me?"

"Yes please. I'm Riley Hudson."

"I'm Sky Smith."

She stayed silent.

"So... have you just started here?"

"No, I've been here for a while. No one ever notices me."

"But surely I would've heard the teacher call your name out in the register?"

"I've moved up a set. It's my first day in this set."

"Ah ok. How come you didn't start in my class lesson 1 then?"

"I was at the orthodontist."

"Oh ok. We're almost there."

"Great! I've never had Miss. Garcia. Is she nice?"

"She's lovely."

We carried on walking then we got to history. I walked in, Riley behind me. Or at least I thought she was.

"Sky, you're late."

"I know. I'm so sorry Miss. I was talking with another teacher."

"That's alright. Take a seat."

"Can Riley sit next to me?"

"Who?"

"Riley Hudson. The new girl in this class."

"There's no one called Riley Hudson in this school."

"What? She's right behind..."

She wasn't anywhere to be seen. That was odd. I hadn't imagined her.

"Are you ok Sky?"

"Yeah it's just... I definitely saw her. She's real. I spoke to her and everything."

"Maybe she ran off. Now take a seat."

I sat down, confused. Riley was right behind me. I know she was.

After history, it was final lesson which was PE.

I walked with my group of friends, Alice, who was my bff, Hannah, Darcey and Tilly.

"Sky, are you sure you saw a girl called Riley?" Darcey questioned.

"Yes. She seemed so real."

"Maybe she is real. Or maybe it was your imagination running wild." Said Tilly.

"It was not. I'm going to prove she's real!"

"I'll believe it when I see her." Said Hannah.

"Oh you'll see her alright. Just you watch."

"Sky, I believe you. I'm your bff. I'm just worried, ok?"

"Yeah alright. Thanks."

After PE, it was home time. I was walking home alone because Clyde was staying after school for art and Rani was staying after school with her Dad.
