The students were bored out their brains, they'd been sat in the detention room for hours and each of them hadn't spoken a word.

That was until Marcus piped up.

"Let's at least pretend to like each other?" He offered and all of the students practically choked on their own saliva.

"Torture Town, USA." Petra mumbled under her breath and Sephy laughed from somewhere in the library. Her giggle made Marcus' lips upturn just a little and he had to look down at the desk not to show his smirk.

"I need to get out of here" Sephy stated swinging herself round a book shelf, she looked at the students before her and decided her best option was to turn to Petra "any ideas?"

"Let's break out, raid the confiscation room and get us some food" she suggested slapping a packet of crisps away from her sending it flying off of her desk.

"If that's where they've taken my sword, then I'm in" Saya smirked leaning over the desk to look at Sephy as she cockily leant on a shelf with her elbow.

"Marcus, will you do the honours?" Sephy asked outstretching her arm towards the door. He looked at it and then back at her, of course he was going to do it for her.

"Do you bitches have a death wish?" Chico questioned standing up from the desk first. Sephy crossed her arms across her chest with a smirk.

"I'd rather die out there than with you pussies" she shot back before dancing over to where she had heard the click of an open lock.

Marcus was still knelt down holding onto the handle when Sephy headed towards the door, she ruffled his hair and he looked up towards her with glistening eyes.

The students tiptoed around the hallways, unlocking a few doors until they finally struck gold. A grand wooden door swung open and each of their mouths hung open in shock.

"No way is this place real" Jaden gaped spinning around to look at the spoils that surrounded him as a few woahs came from the others.

Viktor, of course, was first to spot the explosives and ran in the direction of the grenades. Probably wasn't a wise choice to leave him to his own devices but no one wanted to mother him.

"Persephone?" Asked a voice through a rack of clothes and Petra managed to push herself through with a giggle, her darkly painted lips back to normal.

"Sup?" Sephy asked twirling a knife with an engraved handle between her fingers, she wondered how many people had been killed with it, if at all.

"When's the last time you killed someone?" She asked rather bluntly, Sephy's head shot up with a scowl. She wasn't mad that she'd asked, just confused.

"Um" she thought pocketing two knives and picking up a third "it's been a while, why?"

"You've just been... different recently."

Sephy licked over her teeth with her tongue and allowed her head to knock backwards so she could stare at the ceiling. She was confused as to why the girl in front of her would even notice if she changed.

"Everyone's been saying it" Petra whispered leaning herself on the table and looking out into the others "more black outs, more fight, more cuts and bruises but less kills"

Sephy almost felt angry that people were thinking of her as a changed person, she couldn't imagine why she would've changed, if she had at all.

"Reputations are a funny thing" she chuckled watching as Marcus and Saya engaged in a conversation, her jaw clenched but she let it go once they retreated to the door.

"How so?" Petra asked cocking up her eyebrow as the two stayed back in the room.

"Reputations are known to be a ubiquitous, spontaneous, and as a highly efficient mechanism of social control in natural societies."

She threw the knife up in the air and caught it by the handle.

"Yet my reputation was never present before my birthday and I promise you none of my kills were randomly spontaneous"

Petra's eyes flickered over her white knuckles upon the knife handle and then up to her gritted teeth. She knew that what she'd said had obviously hit a nerve.

"Maybe I don't want to keep seeing the memories" she thought out loud gulping down and looking across at Petra who gave her a small smile.

"Memories hold the keys to EVERYTHING believe you me" Petra chuckled rubbing her hand over her face, she knew all too well herself.

Her memories pieced together every reason as to why she was attending Kings Dominion.

Sephy reached out and squeezed her hand, it was a kind gesture to let her know that she understood what was going through her head, but also as an apology for not stopping those bastards who humiliated her.

She pulled away from the girl to join the others but before she left she turned back,

"I know all that-" she pointed to her bruised face "-is because you stood up for me. Thank you"

Sephy just shrugged as if to tell her that it was nothing before she left her in the confiscation room alone. A bike roar could be heard from outside of the walls but Sephy's thoughts drowned it out.

She held her head and let out a shaky breath.

Was she really willing to see those flashbacks again just to prove her stupid reputation? Only time would tell.
