Chapter 15: Ursula's Kidnap Attempt

Sunken Ship

We swam deep into the ocean as we entered a circle of sand.  A big black figure stuck up from the ground, showing a pointy tip, that stuck high above the land. I stopped as I studied it. I kept getting the feeling that Ursula will show up with her evil eel duo and separate us.  I studied the way the ship looked. Dark, with a lot of seaweed and sand that wrapped around it.  Areal turned around as she waved at us. "Come on guys. It's very cool" she said, as Kim looked at me. "Mal, are you having that feeling?" she asked as I looked behind us. "I don't think we should go in there.  We should leave" I said, as Sora shouted. "Come on Mal. Stop being a scaredy cat" he said as Max and Misty looked at him. "Hey," they said together, insulted by the comment.  Sora grew shocked as he swam up to them, rubbing Misty on the head and Max on the belly. "Sorry for the insult. You two are so adorable. OUCH!" he said as he pulled away from them.  I put my hands on my hips as I looked at Max. "Fat boy," I said in a demanding tone.  Max sighed as he spoke. "Sorry Sora," he said, as he swam up to me. He headbutted me in the chest as he looked at me, his eyes huge in apology. I sighed as I rubbed his head, listening to him purr.  "I still love you, fat boy. Your just a pain in the butt at times" I said, as he looked at me. "Good. Because we're going dark together. I am not letting you go alone" he said, as my eyes widened.  I totally forgot that Max was my partner in all of this.  I sighed as I gave him a hug.  "I totally forgot. I'm going dark, but you're going dark with me" I said, as I pulled away from him. Max purred as Riku spoke. "Like we explained in the beginning. You and your cats are connected to each other. If you do something or go somewhere, Max will go with you" he said, as I smiled and petted Max again.

I looked back at the ship as I studied it, the darkness starting to shadow the entire thing.  I looked at Kim as she cracked a smile at me. "You ready bestie?" she asked as I nodded.  I looked back at the ship as I took a deep breath. "Let's go check it out," I said, as Sora looked ahead of us. "Ok, let's go," he said, as we started to swim towards the ship.  We got close to it as Areal took us around the side, as she slipped into a hole. She pokes her head out as she spoke. "This way, come on," she said, as she swam into the ship again.   I followed Kim as she entered the hole behind Sora and Riku. I tucked my head in as I studied the dark bottom of the ship. I kept getting that feeling so I stayed by the entrance.  "Um. I think I'm just going to wait here.  I don't feel comfortable going in" I said, as Kim looked at me. "Still don't like tight spaces bestie?" she asked as I shook my head. "No. I feel too squished.  I'll keep watch from here, to make sure everyone's safe" I said, as a fish swam into the ship. This was a different fish. It was a yellow fish with blue stripes. It swam up to Areal as it gave her a hug. "It's good to see you Flounder," Areal said, as she hugged the fish back.  Sora swam close to the fish as he spoke. "FLOUNDER!" he yelled in excitement, giving the fish a hug. "Sora, your back" Flounder said, as he looked at Riku. "Oh, hello. I don't remember you" he said, as he faced us. "I don't remember you girls, either," he said.

Kim waved as she spoke. "Hello Flounder, my name is Kim," she said, as I swam up next to her. "Hi. I'm Mal" I said, as flounder nodded. "Hello. I'm Areal's friend, Flounder. Thanks for visiting us" he said, as I turned to Kim. "Does he know that we're users?" I asked as she shook her head. "Nope," she said, as we just sat there.  Flounder turned back to Areal as he spoke. "What are you doing here? We're not supposed to go here just in case the shark returned" Flounder said, worried about Areal. Areal grabbed the fish's fins as she spoke. "They wanted to see the sunken ship. I thought we were able to go anywhere now" she said, as Flounder looked worried. "But, what about Ursula?" he asked as Areal looked at him. "Yeah, I forgot about her," she said, as she looked a little down.  I looked at my tail as I sighed. "Sorry. Ursula is probably attacking because of me.  It's been happening in every world. Villans hate dark users, so they were attacking me.  If you want, I'll stay out here. Just in case she attacks, so no one gets hurt" I said, as Sora looked at me. "But, don't you want to see the ship?" he asked as Riku looked at him. "It's ok Sora. I'll stay out here, you just go enjoy the ship" he said, as Kim spoke. "But," she said as I looked at her. "It's fine Kim. Go if you want to go" I said, as she sighed. "Alright. We'll be out as soon as possible" she said, as she swam up to me. "Stay safe," she said, as she gave me a hug. I hugged her back as I spoke. "I will. You too" I said, as she pulled away from me and went into the ship with Areal and Sora. I sighed as I put my back up against the ship next to Riku.
