10:33 PM

A loud victory melody started playing along with blinking lights coming from the display on the air-hockey table.

Taehyung had managed to score another time. Ending the game with 10-8.
Cassandra huffed, tossing the round racket away. "That's not fair," she pouted. Clearly being a sore loser. Taehyung lowered his face mask, mimicking her and pouting his lips at her as well.
"Aww," he cooed laughing, lightly nudging her side. "You won the first game."
"But you the other three." She was still pouting and she was serious. It wasn't acting or pretending, she was actually meaning it. Taehyung knew. He could tell by her eyes avoiding his, her clenched jaw and her arms being crossed in front of her chest. However, he wasn't holding this against her. He himself being a very sore loser as well at times.
"But you always beat me in the car racing game," he countered then. Grinning when seeing he'd managed to make a little smirk appear on her lips. "That's true. I practically destroyed you." The smugness evident in her voice.
He snorted, putting his face mask back on. "Now she's happy again." She giggled, picking up her bag from the ground and the small bunny plushie she had won in one of the claw machines. "Yup."
They walked through the colourful aisles, between vintage video games and newer ones. Obnoxiously loud music and victory melodies banging through the speakers of the game machines as they were squeezing through groups of friends and school kids in their uniforms who had stopped by after their long afternoon classes. Kids trying winning plushies on claw machines as well.
Seeing a group of boys shooting loops, he was reminded of the photos he had taken of her while trying out all those games. Somehow feeling guilty not telling her when taking them - but again, that's how he preferred them. It had a different effect when the eagerness in her eyes was real.

"Where to now?" Cassandra asked as they stepped out of the arcades. Glancing up at Taehyung who was fixing his beanie. It was quite dark already. They had not noticed the time passing by between car racing and pacman. Illuminated billboards and signs sparkling around them.
He glanced back at her with wide eyes. "I don't know." So they stood there in the middle of the pavement, busy people rushing past them. Not knowing what to do, they looked a bit lost in this big city. "Let's just walk," he suggested eventually and she nodded. "I'm sure we find something."
"Like we always do."

"You know, I won't forget that," Cassandra said out of the blue as they sat down. "Forget what?" He was not sure what she was talking about, could think of something though.
"You know what."
"Hm.. no."
She let out a chuckle, followed by a yawn which she covered with the back of her hand. "The thing you just did. You forced me to speak."
"But you did well," he grinned and set his stray down before taking a seat opposite of her.
"Yeah, b-"
"And it wasn't that difficult. Right?" She paused seeing his big eyes looking at her in anticipation. Shaking her head then. "Uh no." He smiled contently. "You just need someone to.. push you sometimes," he mumbled as he took off his face mask and picked up his hamburger. Still perplexed, Cassandra shook her head before also grabbing hers, copying him.
"Thanks, I guess," she sighed, secretly knowing he was right. He kinda always was. Which bugged her since she wanted to be the one always being right.
"I should warn you." She started unwrapping the warm buns in her hands.
He swallowed the piece of food in his mouth, frowning. "Why?"
"I'm really hungry so I'll probably eat like a piglet. And I won't even care how I look. Just that you know."
Taehyung simply shrugged. "Go ahead. I don't care," he said before taking a large bite. Obviously exaggarrating on purpose. Smearing ketchup all over the corners of his mouth, he grinned like a kid. "See. I'm not better."
Cassandra couldn't help but laugh out loud at the sight of his puffy cheeks and pouty, red-smeared lips. However, she was thankful for it. Appreciating him trying to make her feel comfortable. And so she didn't hesitate to stuff her mouth with food as well and getting ketchup all around it herself. Making Taehyung even crack up a little bit himself. Her being the one reminding him of a child now.
She wiped her lips w a napkin and took a sip from her drink, sitting back then. It'd been a good idea of him to go there to eat. Their booth was at the gigantic glass windows and the night view was amazing. She leaned a little bit more towards the glass. Fogging it. Her warm breath creating a thin stain on the cold glass and she started writing on it with her finger. 'Cassandra'.
"A small evidence that I was here. Even though it'll be gone as soon as someone cleans the windows."
Taehyung looked at her for a moment, before also leaning in, breathing on it. Writing 'Taehyung' next to hers. "A small evidence that we were here." They smiled, continuing staring outside for a while.
